It's wrong point blank...amatuer is a totally differnt platform to the pros, it's like your apprenticeship or college years ....your a complete compared to a pro boxer, amatuer boxing if you become good takes on to bigger things, turning pro winning titles, amateurs have to work they don't get paid to train and fight so straight away they are at an disadvantage against a pro fighter.....it's bonkers really bonkers.....and the sport moans about safety and yet there thinking of making amateurs and pros fight.....this ain't golf or tennis....it's a physical sport where people can get hurt and this will cause injurys I gurantee you that

Khan just changed his opinion and is now AGAINST pro fighters competing in the olympics.

most other olympic sports are no longer strictly limited to amateurs, and the tournament is after all supposed to represent the very best that a country has to offer. the younger amateurs would still have the world championships exclusively to themselves, and perhaps an exception could be made in the youth olympics to allow slightly older boxers to compete (being a sport with a later prime than most others). it would be cool to see matches like golovkin-lópez and kovalev-la cruz in the olympics. but then it might be anticlimactic to see highly publicised rivalries between top pros, like golovkin-quillin and kovalev-stevenson, settled summarily in three rounds as part of a round robin tournament

LOL, but hell man with how Rigo's career is going this might actually be a productive move for him. He'd certainly get to fight more often.

Khan gets caught cold on the first round once in his career and he has no chin. lol The level of ******ity on here his funny as ***.

Oh and just in case some dip shlt cries "what about Garcia"...Khan took some massive shots in that fight before (being waved of) with a TKO from none other than ,Mr Kenny Bayless of all refs. Id say his chin was pretty ***ing solid in that fight.

Maybe only way that Rigo and Loma will ever fight?
