Lara has repeatedly offered to come to 160 to fight but instead of seriously pursuing the fight they make excuses, networks, he's not a draw, nobody knows him. Abel Sanchez actually had to gall to say Willie Monroe Jr was a bigger draw than Lara

You know that fight is not easily possible politically. And there's no incentive for GGG to fight him. He's not a big enough draw to go through the hassle of setting up that fight. Unless he had a 160 title, there's no point.

Man, this should be a light-bulb moment for Team Golovkin! HBO doesn't have to get involved in this. This fight can be made in Golovkin's country. Others have done it like Provodnikov.

Kovalev was supposed to fight in his country for his next fight with zero involvement of Duva and HBO, but the opponent backed out, unfortunately.

I've been predicting that Cotto-Canelo winner won't be fighting Golovkin any time soon. Which means Team 3G is going to have to look for other options. They shouldn't be closing their doors on Lara.

Lara is willing to fight in Kazakhstan. I don't see any problem making this fight happen.

It's that and more. The Monroe card had like a 1.5m budget. Lara just made 1m vs scrub. So its a nonstarter on that date, and on HBO in general. It'd have to be Ppv, and only established Ppv stars can fight a stinker Lara on Ppv esp since he choked so bad vs Canelo

Problem is GGG wasn't planning on Kazakhstan that I know of. We don't know if there's anyone there offering millions for the likes of Lara. And HBO is not going there. Monaco possibly, but again it's way more money than they've committed so far
