And judging by the fact that Ward has moved on.
Still wrong. Golovkin's team said they want unification back in 2012. They told Ward he needs to become more popular before they take the fight in early 2015. There's no hypocrisy. Their message has been remarkable consistent. If by 'hypocrisy' you mean when they said 154-168 THREE years ago, I'm not going to even argue with you.

BTW - the only reason Ward moved on is because Golovkin told him "As a man, you are dead to me."

And he's targeting a lesser star, who quite frankly is a much bigger threat to him than Gennady. While Gennady is still trying to sell the world on how important fights with Andy Lee and a couple jr middleweights are. Judging by that, and current resumes. I'd say Ward is far less likely the one that didn't want the fight and Team GGG was.
After winning the super 6 Ward has handpicked crappy fighters. It's well documented. In his come backs, he's fighting Paul Smith and Alexander Bland. You want to talk about past resumes? Sure. If Ward was not contracted to fight in the super 6, his resume is absolute garbage. His WHOLE resume is super 6. IF the fight with Kovalev happens, that will be the first time he picked a good fighter outside of super 6.

And get the hell out of here with the 'Jr MW' crap. Both Canelo and Cotto's resumes take a big dump on Ward.

As for "unification", this ain't the 90s. Boxing has evolved, and boxing fans have become educated to the fact that just because a guy has a belt, doesn't mean he's a good fighter. Unification is pointless when you have a guy that's supposed to be elite fighting C level bums. No matter how many belts are on the line. And judging by the backlash within the boxing community. And the box office flop the Lemieux fight was. Seems like very few are buying the company line that you and the other GGG d1ckriders keep regurgitating.
Boxing Community? You mean like sold out MSG, 150k PPV buys and respect from people like Roy and Hopkins? A couple of ******s on NSB who can't bother to read a full article does not a 'community' make.

Oh they're not buying it? I could have SWORE that ESPN said the event was a financial success, I could have swore I saw Golovkin on Apple's commercial and I could have swore I read that he was in negotiations for several more endorsements.

But obviously the biggest company in the world doesn't know anything about marketing, unlike the 15 people on the board who literally post the same crap over and over and over again.

I have sense moved on to the thread where yet another top fighter, Terrance Crawford, respectfully and accurately calls Team GGG on avoiding the Andre Ward due to the fact Ward would beat his ass like a runaway slave.

So why are you making 100s of posts about a fight you think is a terrible mismatch? Not too bright, eh fanboy?

i'm pretty tired of people holding golovkin to absurd standards and then slaughtering him when he fails to meet them. it'd be better if you lot were honest and admitted that you flat out don't like him and just want to see him beat asap
          Hold on.....

These " standards ", that are supposedly absurd, who do you think set them ?

Since Golovkin FIRST stepped onto the world stage, his PR/marketing campaign has been completely based around two things.....

          1) " anyone from 154-168 "

          2) " avoided killer - EVERYONE is ducking me, I cant get a good fight "

Firstly, the fact is..... Golovkin has done nothing even remotely close

Secondly, the fact is..... Golovkin COULD have fought Ward/Lara/Cotto/Canelo, but he CHOSE not to

So, Golovkin has completely failed to live up to HIS OWN STANDARDS !

If some guys are pointing that out..... why shoot the messenger ?

Ward didn't 'pull his card. Ward failed to make the fight happen. Ward was told by HBO that the fight will take awhile to promote (same timeline as current Ward vs Kov). Ward said no thanks, I want some tune ups first.
            GGG's team moved on.
Everything after that, including the 'lil g' rant, was Ward's attempt at free publicity. That is all there is to it. Educate yourself on what ACTUALLY happened instead of parroting the same crap over and over again.

Wrong. He makes everyone in MW look and act like crap, MW by itself is fine. There's absolutely no one in either 154, 168 or 175 who have the star power that's in MW. And it's not even close.

-Chunky's fighting old Bute that got KOd by Froch in super6 and by Golovkin in the amateurs. Abraham (Ward victim) is fighting Murray, someone that Golovkin has already beaten. Jack barely squeaked by Groves, another Froch victim and is contemplating fighting fatty Chavez.
-175 has old Adonis who walks around in Haymon armour and Kovalev.
-154 has Lara, another Haymon protected fighter.. and pretty much no one else.

If Golovkin is successful at unifying MW, he only has 2 other real opponents left - Ward & Kov. As you said, Golovkin is 33. If he goes up in weight, it will be tough for him to come down. So he's absolutely going to take care of MW before even considering moving up. It's logic, plain and simple. Logic beats 'lil g' crybabies every time.
Nah, I don't think you know what you're talking about.

Golovkin said " anyone from 154-168 "..... but in reality he pulls the big guys down, he pulls the little guys up, and he ignores the difficult guys in the middle.

Kov would rather fight him next, its Ward who's pushing it back a year. And his tuneups are just shocking, as though he's got no intention of going through with the deal. A lot can happen in a year, injuries, lawsuits etc
              And stop talking **** hero.....

The Pascal fight was only announced about 2 weeks ago..... before that, Duva stated that Kovalev will sit out the rest of the year and return in the spring of 2016 with a focus on making a bout with Andre Ward at some point next year.....
