They want Povetkin to get as old as possible before fighting him.

Joshua won a gold medal and Wilder didn't

there'd be no point in rushing him. I train with Olympic boxers who have turned pro, totally different technique that takes time undo and rebuild.
Plus the of these last couple of fight Joshua has had are not that far off of what Wilder has fought. Stiverne is Wilders only golden egg and that not really impressive either.

Catchweights and pushing fights back years has become a big American strategy. Shows how far back we have fallen in line.

Would you not agree Haymon would want all the advantages in his favor? How would Wilder handle fighting in Russia. Hes already claimed he is the champ, even Wlad will have to fight here in the US. Not sure how much Haymon will be able to throw at the bid but relying on big money from Russia is only short term especially if Povetkin koes Wilder.

Why would anyone blame any fighter for maximizing their income. Only hateful walkers would hold it against someone

Can they make him elaborate? Who is making it very difficult?

Wilder has already admitted that he was waiting for Wlad to get older. So so you may be right why not wait for Povetkin to get old as well.

Doesn't matter who wins the bid -- if Haymon has to outbid the Russians, Wilder still gets 70 percent of a huge purse.
