Wilder has had two voluntary defenses already. When you are a world champion and have 30 pro fights, you shouldn't need five tuneups to prepare you for a tough opponent.

It's hard to ignore that the fighters who are Ducking the tough fights while constantly fighting tuneups all seem to be black fighters under al haymons management.

Maybe it's just me but calling someone the great black hope is just as offensive as calling someone the great white hope. The phrase is usually a backhanded compliment and has a negative connotation overall. Besides, them being black doesn't automatically make them spokesmen for an entire group of people.

Besides what you seem to be describing is a unfavorable management style, race isn't the defining factor.
