He can't, Cotto has bigger balls, literally and figuratively.

        I share the same views

cotto can do it all , can box and can pressure fight

canelo is good his opponent come to attack but then again the Angulo fight prove he aint that good either when being attack by a natural pressure fighter

I think cotto really wins but they are going to give it to canelo

          One thing is for sure.

If he can't outbox Canelo, he damn sure can't beat Golovkin.

Canelo needs to utilize three things that he has:

              -Handspeed
              -Head movement/elusiveness
              -Combination punching

Those are his three strengths. Knowing Cotto doesn't want to stay on the inside he better be prepared to counter punch and while pushing Cotto towards the ropes. Being the taller fighter he should try to jab over Cotto's jab as well to try and disrupt Cotto's rhythm.

Cotto getting into his rhythm early on is the last thing Canelo wants. By round 8 both of their stamina should be depleting and should favor the younger Canelo but Canelo should still try to get the early jump because Cotto has more championship experience.

Cotto is just not a durable guy....poor chin, tender skin, poor stamina, sucker for the uppercut......he wins if he hurts canelo badly early.....otherwise, he fades enough to be a sitting duck for the bigger guy.

Fighters that have beat cotto also had high work rates.
Margarito 1 other than the plaster threw 987 punches and that bothered cotto. Pacquiao threw 780 punches vs cotto. Even Floyd who isnt known for his volume threw almost 700(he threw 687) vs cotto. Trout threw 779 punches vs cotto. Now canelo isnt known for his high punch output in his last 5 fights the most hes thrown is 526 punches he tends to take flurry here and there. I got cotto in a close but clear decision.

I think all he has to do is fight up to par. He just needs to be himself and fight with the speed, skill and power he has. I think he has faster hands than Cotto and more accurate punches. He hits harder than Cotto and he takes a punch better than Cotto. He is a better combination puncher than Cotto. Most important is Canelo is deadly with both hands. Cotto is left handed and all his power and knock outs come from his left hook. Cotto doesn't have much power in his right. Canelo only has Cotto's left hook to worry about. Cotto can be knocked out by a variety of Canelo punches from either hand. Nobody knows the ending of a fight before it happens. Maybe I have Cotto underrated and Canelo overrated and Cotto will win. Just guessing I think the 3 to 1 odds in Canelo's favor are correct. I think he wins every round and knocks Cotto out.
