Of course Haymon would jump on HBO if he had the chance.

He doesn't mind if HBO exists, it's the other promoters he wants to get rid of. Heck, he hasn't built a star that wasn't built on HBO since he got kicked off there network.

Not to mention his fights on Showtime have hit some incredibly low ratings the last 2 years.

Jake, any word if Herschman stays on to run boxing?
bro i feel haymon has the plan to end hbo...not breathe life back into them..ijs...they tried to end him..ppl who do that normally dont turn out on his good side..he does not like fighters being signed to one network..he hates long term contracts all together that he is not at risk over...basically he only believes in himself when it comes to business...his profile tells me that

idk..promoters aint the one that kicked him off..he's won every war so far..im sure that makes him confident enough to say im taking down their whole org lol

and tbh im rooting for one man heading boxing..he has prved to be fair..im rooting for the end of the ali act...don king being unfair shouldnt hurt ppl who are fair ijs...other countries do not have the laws and they are doing better in boxing..except for when they have network disputes..if haymon ends that i say we put boxing in his hands..let him govern it

Haymon isn't going back to HBO. That is the exact opposite reason of why PBC was created. Haymon's goal is to bring the biggest events the sport has to offer to primetime broadcast television, not to a dying premium subscription channel that doesn't even care about the sport of boxing.

I told you guys that the Golovkin-Lemieux PPV lost HBO millions of dollars. Golovkin ducking the best challenges the sport has to offer has now cost a human being his job. Golovkin really is a piece of **** for ducking Ward and costing Hershman his job. I doubt he has many fans left after this debacle.

I definitely think that was the original plan since Herchman banned him. Now that Herschman has left abruptly (i'm sure we will know more in the future), maybe he will drop that plan.

I'm just trying to stay positive. I'm really tired of the network politics. If this move opens up HBO for Haymon guys and Showtime for ARum guys-and the networks compete against each other for the best fights (which should drive prices up the way a free market should) then I'm happy.

One umbrella company to govern the sport. Been saying it too.

If Peter Nelson, as nearly everyone seems to think, gets the gig that ain't happening. Bob Arum hates Peter Nelson cuz he's trying to match his guys too tough so Haymon & this likely new guy wouldn't get along.
