- I dont want to hate on GGG, but I honestly don't know how good he actually is because he has not fought anyone legit. By now he should of fought someone like an Andy Lee. And having guys from the lower weight classes to move up and fight him..that's just not right. Lets take it back to the 90's, when DLH,Tito,Mosely,,Quartey, those guys, they didn't have fighters move up and fight them, they fought everyone in there division then moved up in weight and continued to fight the best..Now those were great fighters.

Can't really hate on Alvarez for this. If he wants to suck down to 155lbs and fight that's his right. He offered Golovkin the fight at 155lbs and has yet to ever fight at 160lbs.

As for the title, it really doesn't mean alot to Canelo. He's not one to parade around advertising himself as the MW champion after he beats Cotto. After he lost to Mayweather, the WBC offered to let Alvarez fight for a 'regular champion' title, he refused saying Mayweather was the only real champion. He also refused to fight for Lara's title for the same reason. I respect that.

Lara was the most avoided guy in the division, Hoya strongly advised against him taking that fight. But Canelo demanded Lara.

He has already proven that he is willing to fight the best.

Canelo has been chasing a Cotto fight for years, since long before Cotto accidentally picked up the MW title off Martinez.

He wants a Cotto fight, always has.

Canelo has not interest in MW whatsoever, so there is no chance he will be mandated to a MW fight because of some lame title that he accidentally picked up off a Cotto payday, or because of a few comments from a bunch of lame golovtards.

EVERYONE knows that Canelo will fight Golovkin when he moves to 160.

The official sanctioned weight for his fight with Cotto will be 160lbs, as it is for every MW title fight.

Margarito - That's like losing to Rubio, not only did Cotto go life and death with him but even in their rematch as an older man Margarito showed it wasn't plasters that won him the fight that and the only way Cotto could beat him was with Pacquiao injuring his eye badly

Clottey - A hard fighter but nothing special in same mold as someone like Adama, he has a great chin and If you get tagged by him you're going to get hurt but Cotto lost this fight against someone like Clottey he had to rely on a judge robbery?

Austin Trout - A fairly game type of opponent someone who utilizes good footwork and can fight at range with a jab, you see what happened when someone done this to Cotto?
Cotto had absolutely no answer, he got took to school by this guy and Trout is likely a level or two below the likes of Willie Munroe Jr lol.

Pacquiao and Mayweather - We don't need to excuse those losses he got his ass handed to him by both fighters we knew this would happen because he just simply isn't near that level nor is he that good to roll with the big dogs like GGG.

With this all said I think its blatantly clear that Cotto is an overrated fighter who hasn't achieved much except from losing every big fight he's ever had, he's a failure in boxing and now he is a diva ducking the true MW champion and now he is masquerading under the guise of being a Jr WW, how utterly and shamefully pathetic is that?

Golovkin would've already fought Lee last year. Fight got cancelled because GGG's father died.
