    According to numerous reports in Turkey, retired heavyweight Sinan Samil Sam has passed away at a hospital in Istanbul, where the boxer was being treated for liver failure.

    Family and friends have indicated that Sam's funeral will take place tomorrow in Ankara at the Kocatepe Mosque.

    That's messed up! I guess he let himself go after his career was over. I remember when he was coming up, they had that big heavyweight card in New York and he fought Juan Carlos Gomez on HBO.

                    I remember his fight with Danny Williams, he wasn't the most talented or technical but was tough as hell, kept coming forwards even when power shots were bouncing off him and once he started landing his own shots he got the KO. RIP.
