You see I don't even know who smiths promoter is but reading this rubbish reminds me of brook ducking the big fights with his ****** offers and then running his mouth pretending he wants to fight them

So I expect Hearn to be behind this smith

Surprised by this news. Seems like a dumb decision to me. When you are a 44yr old cat who doesn't even deserve a title shot I think you happily agree to a rematch clause.
Thats what I would have thought ?

I didn't pick that up in the article, but yea that sounds more than reasonable.

It was in a different article from yesterday or the day before.

Basically Shane was willing to fight for dirt cheap and would even be up for a rematch as long as it could come after what he already had set up for early 2016.

It can't get any better than that for Liam Smith. It's all laid out on a silver platter for him.

It's a voluntary so the rematch clause is expected. I can understand why they want the rematch straight away also, if need be. Of course they would.

Mosely should of took the fight and a chance to win another world title IMO.
Be interesting to see what the fight he has lined up for 2016 is.

Seems like Smith's team should have given a few inches themselves. Lets say Mosley did beat Smith, Mosley could have kept his early 2016 commitment, whatever that is, Smith could take an easy fight as a warm up for a rematch, back in Liverpool in front of his home crowd in like May/June, it would do big numbers there.

Or if Smith won, this fight would have gotten them more attention than any other potential fight right now, plus it would have been a great coup for Warren to have a big name like Mosley on the undercard of Lee v Saunders.

Even if Mosley is done, he's a name and plenty of UK boxing fans would have got interested in a young British fighter defending his title against Mosley.

I think they have missed a trick with this one. Then again, we've never seen the offer or contract so it's hard to really give a true opinion.
