Rigo doesn't even have a fight set-up yet for this year, he ain't suing ****.

I remember when the WBO threatend to strip Joe Calzaghe a few times. Once in 2004 to face his mandatory - Mkrtchyan and again in 2006 to face their interim champ - Veit.

Lol. I'm sure it was tough.

Anyway, Rigo's made his bed with those Caribe fuckwits. Now he can go sleep in it.

So WBO tells Rigo to fight his no 1 mandatory. Lets just say No 1 agrees. Who is putting up the purse - not Caribe that's for sure. So the mandatory's promoter has to give the majority of the split to Rigo and his team. Then you would hope that the champ's promoters would take the initiative in promoting the fight.

But Caribe don't seem capable of doing that. So it would leave it down to the challengers promoter to do all the legwork of the promotion for a minor split of the proceeds. No other promoter is going to want to do that.
The WBO could go down it's top 15 list and likely all the other promoters will step away.

Purse bids? They would be derogatory and neither Rigo or his opponent would be up to fight for peanuts.

The WBO decided that they didn't want to supervise all that BS so they left Rigo to get on and hopefully make some unification fights. Caribe couldn't do that so finally the WBO said enough is enough.

In an ideal world all promoters would have to pass a test and one of the requirements would be sufficient capital which would immediately rule out Caribe.

If Rigo wanted to get out of his contract he could - so it is as much his fault as Caribe's issue. Caribe be doing voodoo spells on Rigo though.
To bad history is not on your side y 2014 the WBO orders Rigo vs Chris Avalo and guess who won the purse bid? Oh yes Caribe.
Caribe whould have paid Rifo $238,000 and Avalos a little more than $79,000
But Avalos pass. He wet to fight some Jose unknown Torres for a lot less money than that.
