I disagree. A skillset has to be all aspects of boxing. His defence has proved to be leaky against very average fighters and his chin isn't great either. So that's some parts of the skill set that are lacking.

But as i said, people are choosing to ignore these things. I'm not sure why people are blind to it. The proof is all there on video from his pro fights.

There are many better fighters than him in the sport right now.

Ward isnt "athletically" gifted he's a very TECHNICAL fighter with an elite SKILLSET but even he has admitted he's not as athletically & technically as gifted as rigo.

          Not sold on Gonzales?

Does he not get slapped around the ring by journeymen enough for you? That's what happens to Rigo.

          "Elite" - yeah right. He's a myth.

How is that possible when he has never demonstrated the ability to fight inside?

Andre Ward has the most complete skillset in the sport of boxing right now since Floyd Mayweather retired.

It would take me a long time, there's so many. They have proven it. He hasn't proven much at all as a pro.

The win against Donaire was good but he was on the slide. After that he's only ever fought one other top 20 fighter in his division.

He is skilled but his level of competition isn't great so he should look skilled against them.

So tell me, why has he been smacked around the ring and dropped by journeymen at times? please, enlighten me. I've seen plenty of fighters run through his level of opposition without any of the problems he's encountered. Why is that?

And please, don't get me wrong, i have no dislike for him. I'd like to see him fight more but i'm a neutral when it comes to boxing, i just call it how i see it with no real without being a fan of certain people to cloud my judgement.

He dominated the the fight but got knocked down twice got right back up ( indicating flash KD) and proceeded to break the guys face in 3 place for having the audacity to make him look anything other than great.

Gonzalez and Rigo down the road sounds awesome.

                      Thanks for proving my point.

And anyway, i'm not sold on Gonzalez as p4p number 1 either, but his skillset and career is a hell of a lot more convincing than Rigondeaux.
