I seen this fight like 3 or 4 times. I still have Mayweather winning it. It was a close fight. Leave it at that. You can make a case that it could of gone either way. But to call it a robbery is just plain ******ity.Comment

Do you really think punchstats mean ANYTHING as to who won the fight? Fights are scored on a 10 point must system. Castillo probably outlanded Mayweather clearly in 5 rounds while Mayweather edged him in 7 rounds. I'll go find my scorecard, but I know Mayweather won 5 of the first 6, so it's hard to see him losing. Also, do you even believe compubox's numbers? Because I certainly don't. A landed punch to compubox is a punch behind the head or to the back or to the glove.Originally posted by RunWithKnivesComment

funny, i bet on other fights you care and talk about the punchstats/compubox numbers but on this fight you dont care about it cause you hate on CastilloOriginally posted by DiegoFuegoDo you really think punchstats mean ANYTHING as to who won the fight? Punch stats mean nothing. I didn't say anything about them when I thought Sturm beat DLH because they don't prove anything. I said Sturm clearly won 7 rounds, which is a win if there are no knockdowns/point deductions. Outlanding a guy has absolutely nothing to do with beating a guy unless you outland him in 7 rounds. Even then, Compubox has a history of being unreliable. I think their guy with his finger on the button is trigger happy for some fighters.Originally posted by xcaretfunny, i bet on other fights you care and talk about the punchstats/compubox numbers but on this fight you dont care about it cause you hate on Castillo

Plus one good head shot that makes the opponent's head rattle is better than 3 or 4 body shots and a series of jabs. For instance, if Rahman jabs Toney 6-7 times, but Toney answers with a right hand that turns Rahman's head and knocks his face around, who is ahead?
Hint: it ain't Rahman
Sorry, that was the first thing that came to mind, even though I had Rahman winning that fightComment

Good points, but we differ scoring fights man.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoDo you really think punchstats mean ANYTHING as to who won the fight? Fights are scored on a 10 point must system. And you can't say I'm biased because both guys are two of my favorite fighters in the sport. After watching the first fight....My final scorecard had JLC winning 7 rounds to 5.
Using the must system yes, but JLC clearly won the last 4 rounds of the fight as well. Those rounds also are highly important in determining the final score of the fight IMO.

all rounds are equally important. I never understood how some people looked at the final 4 rounds as though they were worth more or meant more. if a guy works his ass off to win the first 6 rounds, can you really give him an L for slowing down in the last 6? that's bull**** and you might be trying to defend slow starters with that comment cough cough Castillo cough coughOriginally posted by RunWithKnivesGood points, but we differ scoring fights man.
