But to your other points, I'm not convinced that Ward "brings him more money" than those other bouts. Sure, the overall revenue would certainly be greater, but does that actually mean more money in GGG's pocket considering Ward would get 50-50?

Anyways, that part really doesnt matter that much. I just think it would be extremely foolish to walk away from the mando position at MW, for a "potential" fight next year against Ward.

We keep going over this. I get it. YOU would walk away from the mando position for a "possible" fight next year. I woudnt. I'd let the cotto-canelo thing play out first.

Its that simple. Why are we still debating this point?
but he isn't walking away from the mando position. If he did, then when he returns he'd get it back in the first fight. SO there is absolutely no risk to his status at 160 should he fight Ward at 168.

The cotto/canelo thing has played out-its just GGG diehards that somehow think the WBC is going to force Canelo or Cotto to fight him this year or early next.

wrong. If he agreed to do the Ward fight, the cotto-canelo winner would rightfully claim that he was "unavailable" and they would be able to fight whomever they wanted next.

Also, by not defending not only the WBC interim belt, but the IBF and WBA as well, its likely that by the fall of 2016 GGG would have been stripped of some, if not all, of those belts.

As much as Ward would like to believe it, unfortunately the whole world does not stop just for him.

Good question. And has the injury slowed him down?

On the hunger issue, well earlier there was no doubt in my mind, that Ward wanted to make a big historical impact on the sport. Hence him talking about winning hw fights etc. Now it could appear as if he is going more for the money than the glory. I suppose there is nothing wrong with that per se, but there might be a change. I suppose thats basically what you are implying?

No risk? Ward disagrees. He has said that he would not move up and then go down. He would only move up when his body was ready. Thats what he said. I dont know why you think GGG is a different beast.

Its not about the world revolving around Ward, its about the reality of the situation.

Its like GGG fans post the raw truth about the situation when it suits them but when Ward comes up as a possible fight given the situation, then you guys start saying "well lets wait".

There is just no incentive for either to fight GGG right now.

Come on, One Punch. you already see canelo/cotto winner ducking GGG for another year at least. That is plenty of time to fight Ward and then decided to go back to MW or stay at 168 if he wins.

Ok so GGG can stay at 168 instead of going back down if he chooses.

He likely isn't getting the fights he wants. If you are ok with him getting easy win after easy win, fine.

Why you and other GGG fans have the bar so low for him? Put it at the same height you put it for Floyd. See if he can go over it rather than making it low and watch him crawl under it.

I have been saying this for a while now outside of Hopkins and recently Pascal Kovalev's resume has been tune up after tune up

GGG has more fights as a pro than Ward yet not one elite name on his entire resume. The double standards are rediculous ..

Im going to try and type this a different way, since the other 47 times I've said it seem to have gone over your head. Or maybe you should read it realllllllllly slow, and maybe it will sink in.

If Im GGG, I would not give up my mandatory position to the Cotto-Canelo winner (as well as maybe my other MW titles) because of a "50-50 next year" offer from Ward. I would wait and see how the Canelo-Cotto thing plays out, regardless of my OPINION as to what I think the winner may or may not do. I would let it play out. Period. End of story.

Im not sure how to make that any more clear.
