  • Andre Ward vs. Alexander Brand

According to Dan Rafael, Alexander Brand has been accepted by both fighters and by HBO as Andre Ward's Nov 21 opponent.

Super middleweight Alexander Brand Monsalve of Columbia is age 38 and has fought one good opponent in his career: Badou Jack, who he lost to a few years ago.

Andre Ward will have him go up from 168 to 175 for this fight.

    Does he have a chance?

    Is this a mismatch?

Why didn't Ward choose a light heavyweight, why make Brand move up in weight?

Anybody else think Ward should have fought Agnew, who was accepted by HBO?

      Was he afraid of Agnew?

Rafael says Brand was initially rejected by HBO, but they changed their mind.

It's at the weight Ward wants, which is 175.

I think Agnew is a better opponent, but he's a southpaw so not good prep for Kovalev. However, a crude Colombian SMW with no decent wins is also poor prep for Kov. Gonzalez would have been fine, shame Ward turned him down

This guy is becoming a joke. Would his recent level of opposition be acceptable for other elite pfp fighhters?

Ward is testing my patience with this shit.

There were "rumblings" in early August that Ward was a strong possibility to be the co-main for Cotto-Canelo.

                August

And this is the fucking best him and his team come up with.

                A 38 year old SMW.
