If they can get this for the Saunders v Lee undercard, it will be a pretty big coup. I know Smith is due to fight on that undercard. For anyone who has bought a ticket for that, this is a massive bonus. Obviously Mosley is shot but i'd be happy if i bought a ticket for this event and Mosley was coming to the UK to be part of it.

Who knows, Smith is still inexperienced despite having a world title, Mosley might find a way to "old man" him and make it a difficult night. They're almost at opposite ends of the spectrum as far as experience goes but really Mosley probably doesn't have anything left except that. I hope he does, it'll be a sad sight watch Mosley become a washed up stepping stone for young guys to add his name to their records.

With Smith being a new champion, and it being a voluntary, i don't see them agreeing to go ahead without a rematch clause.

If all goes well for you on December 19 and you retain your world belt, what are your main targets for next year? Do you hope to be involved in a unification fight?
One million per cent, I want a unification. In March or May next year, I want a massive fight back at home or abroad. I’d love the Jermall Charlo fight – the chance to unify my WBO title and his IBF. That’s a route I’d love to go down. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the [super-welterweight] division now that Floyd Mayweather has retired. You’d have to think that his WBC and WBA Super world titles will become vacant soon, although the WBA may promote [‘regular’ world title-holder] Erislandy Lara to their Super champion, I don’t know what the situation is. Maybe I’ll be able to fight for one of those belts. I’d love to go over to America and challenge for another world title.

Mosley is already making many concessions, travelling to a different country, time zone differences, potential robbery scenario, home town disadvantage, low purse etc.. This reminds everyone of Brook trying to get Rios to do a rematch clause even though Rios made all the concessions. These type of B/C level divas with belts need a stiff kick up the backside to get that ego in check.

Their groupies are half the problem, they've probably got lower IQs than the fighter's they support, which is saying something. Just talk to any Brook fan and you'll swiftly enter the world of the mentally-challenged.
