ok, so if money is the main priority, stop with fights that will earn less than Ward. Ward wouldn't be as lucrative as Chavez or Froch.
it surely would be more lucrative than Lemuiex, Lee, Johnson or Heiland while Cotto and canelo keep avoiding him.
SO money and a great opponent. What is the reason not to make this fight?
This is prize fighting, so yes money matters. I'm not in agreement that Ward would be a bigger money fight than Lee in Ireland, and it is a unification fight, or much bigger than Lemieux, PPV wise. Maybe, but not convinced.
Johnson he will have to deal with since the IBF is the only organization that actually enforces mandatories. Kudos to them. And I'm guessing you can throw Eubank Jr. in there as well with him being the No.1 in the WBA, and he appears to want the fight.
If Lee manages to get by BJS, GGG already has 3 fights that will likely take place next year, not even considering the posibility of a Cotto/Canelo matchup. If they do fight him, that is 4 fights. Where exactly is Ward suppose to fit into the equation?
Now BJS winning could throw a monkey wrench in things , since he is on record, yet again, a couple of days ago in saying that GGG would beat him and Eubank Jr. on the same night. So the WBO might end up hiding away in the UK for a while. So if that happens and GGG can't get the Cotto/Canelo winner, then make the Ward fight, but at this point I have no idea how plausible that is with Ward's new HBO deal.
But in another thread you stated that HBO approved of Murdock so that both Ward and Kovalev can have easy competition until they face one another.
Which is it?
it's both. HBO wants Kov/Ward to protect GGG. Ward signed on to that plan because he needs to start fighting again. So he gets easy fights (looks like Agnew replaces Murdock, which NSAC didn't approve, not HBO) to try and make sure he doesn't take a loss before the Kov fight to maximize ratings.
Fans (well except casual HBO only guys like you) want to see Kov and Adonis, but HBO and DUva blocked that earlier this year after haymon/Stevenson blocked it last year.
Simple solution-Kov/Adonis to the highest bidder. GGG/Ward @168 the following month. Winners fight.

Ok, maybe Lee in Ireland makes the same, but the costs are offset by travel and production expenses from Ireland. Do you know the TV delay, if any?
Are those fights acceptable to you as a fan?
GGG, for better or worse, is where a number of fighters, including Hagler and Floyd, my 2 favorites, found themselves. You can't get what you want so what do you do in the meantime?
If the next 4 fights from GGG are Lee, heiland, Johnson and eubank, that is unacceptable. Blaming the winner of canelo/cotto for not fighting him will not justify those 4 choices.
does andre ward have an opponent lined up? if not he should fight that cuban gonzalez that gave pascal hell. i dont agree with taking two "easy" fights and then jumping in with kovalev. unlike golovkin i call my fighters out on their bullsht, ward needs no more damn tune ups, paul smith overweight sorry a.ss was enough. as far as golovkin i will be the first in the thread to take my L if he beats lara. thats the best available opposition at the moment in my eyes. canelo-cotto winner will rematch or bring floyd out of retirement, those guys have bigger things to do than entertain mr. 97K fans. so scratch them off, quillin? doubt that happens too. ward? his fanboys say hes too big but chavez isn't, so scratch him off. the best name out there thats ready and willing is lara. so why not. in a few more years guys like andrade and julian will move up but golovkin needs to take a big fight now, hes not young. or do what hopkins did, dare to be great and climb to LHW and face the best up there. too much to ask? oh i forgot how pampered this diva is.
