  • If Abel wants the belts more than the money fair enough. GGG will probably get the belt & miss out on the money if they are serious about all this recent talk. The reality is everyone is boxing for money not belts at the end of the day. The belts mean less than they ever have & from the beat the man who beat the man way of thinking Canelo will still be the champion to some anyway if he gets past Cotto. So even if GGG has all the physical belts, he won't have all the belts.

But 2.8M PPV buys vs 150k PPV buys says Canelo gots more leg to stand on then K2/GGG/Abel thinks cuz the alphabet groups like money too & its not like they've never changed their mind on some **** before. I suspect the WBC will do everything in their power to avoid stripping Canelo & if push comes to shove they will likely try to gift him with some other belt ASAP.

Or did you mean "they MIGHT fight, sometime next year, maybe, assuming Ward can fight 3 slobs first"

Because if you are claiming that Ward is fighting Kovalev, you must be privvy to info the rest of the world doesnt know about........
      Just the Dan tweet.

He said it will announced soon.

btw, its 2 slobs, then Kovalev

didnt you say the other day that the 150k ppv# couldnt be trusted because Dan was just a corporate hack who only puts out what his masters tell him to?

Interesting that you would cite him.........

The dude is CLEARLY big enough for 160. Demanding a 155 catch weight, a weight we dont even know if GGG can make, is clear as day Canelo trying to duck out of the fight.
Obviously GGG can make 154 without any problem, I see no issue with a CW of 155. Both fighters have the same advantages/disadvantages. Team GGG can talk all they want, but the fight will be next September with all Canelo's demand met because GGG has no leverage in their negotiations .

            • My main problem w/ GGG's team is how hypocritical they come across.
They love to pull the A-side card on others but cry like beetches when others pull in on them. They love to demand respect and fairness but love to ***** on others, whenever they have a chance.

              1. Issue w/ Ward- they calling Ward out every time they had a chance while Ward was having legal issues w/ Goossen, Ward is available now, responds to them and now "who the heck is ward, he needs to build his name back up, we are not 168er, we fight Chavez Jr and Froch but you at 164, we are the "A-SIDE".
              2. No1 from 154-168 will last 12 rounds comment- lol...telling you guys these ppl r something else...they said that but can't meet Cotto/Canelo @ 155 nor Ward @ 168 but NO ONE from 154-168 will last them the whole 12 rounds.
              3. Monroe bigger name than Lara- when they don't like a matchup they make they ******est excuses. The only reason they didn't want Lara is cause Lara will expose some of GGG's flaws, maybe he's too small to beat GGG but he will expose GGG and his team didn't want no part on that.

I want to start by saying that I really hate catch-weights, hates them w/ a passion but they have been part of the sport for a long time. If the likes of B-Hop, Cotto, Canelo, Jones Jr, Henry Armstrong, Lalonde, Porter, Hearn did it, understanding is/was part of the business to reach what they wanted to get, what make GGG so special that he MUST be the exception?...GGG is in a bad position now vs big name fighters due to hiom, his team and HBO flunk really bad on their 1st attempt on PPV!!!

It's like saying you'll only date X race women, then along comes one of that X race babes, and you're still too ****** to realize 'say, this would be a cool chick to hang with'. It's called reassessment of one's priorities. One of many things smart people do in their lives. UnAbel can blabber away all he wants... facts remain the biggest payday(s) for GGG are Cotto and Canelo. That is indisputable. So, as soon as the GGG team wises up and realizes that stone cold reality, just maybe they'll remove cranium from back door, wise up, and sign the papers.

Good post, straight on point!!! No BS!!

Dude, Thanks for saving me the time as I was about to write exactly what you did!!! Bravooo, Thumbs up, Superb!! No bull****, all facts..... "Monroe is bigger name than Lara" statement was the one drop that filled the cup and spilled the juice ....

How is it obvious? He's never fought there before.

If they do a CW it should be something that actually makes sense, like 157/158

                    • GGG shooting themselves in the foot

Maybe they want them to vacate so they can claim all belts without having to face anyone
