Canelo will not be fighting middleweights, so he will not be fighting for the middleweight title, why would he?

Canelo said he's too big for 154 but has no interest in middleweights while fighting for the middleweight crown. Makes perfect sense. Thank god for him there happens to be a weight class at 155 pounds (pending 156 pounds, if necessary), to fall back on.

I really hope Golovkin starts fighting at the 161 pound division, I think he should fight Ward there. I love how boxing is not ******ed.

I think we are all debating this **** way too prematurely. HBO, GoldenBoy, and K2 are gonna throw money at Canelo and GGG to make this happen once
Canelo wins that belt. Everybody is just puffin their chest out right now but come time for negotiations Canelo will sign and GGG will sign. Canelo is A-side and will get massive pay-day and GGG will get a bigger payday than he ever has before plus finally get that big fight and possibly the WBC belt. This fight probably happens at 157 or 158 catchweight. Neither fighter will have a problem making the weight.

If so, then you're right..... no question.

The only 2 things I have heard recently from team Canelo on that subject are are..... Canelo can make 154..... and he has no interest in middleweight.

If he can't make 154 then the discussion is over.

Team Canelo may not think Golovkin is worth 40%, but they can pay him for the weight.

Golovkin may have said that he can make 154..... and I DEFINITELY think that he should be held to his word..... but nobody wants him to come into the ring compromised.

I have said that imho I think Mayweather would beat Golovkin at 154, because Golovkin would not be the same fighter, he would be compromised..... so I will stay true to my word.

Team Golovkin talk shht, but we have to be reasonable.

I dont think he can make 155 either, and I'm not sure he wouldn't be compromised even at 156?

I know that Golovkin weighed 157 a few fights back.

2016 is great year for 160. It's restabilized imo. The Quillin and Jacobs bout alone is the highest caliber 160 bout for 2015. Korobov and Lee 2nd, Lee vs Quillin 3rd. What do they all have in common? Champs vs Champs.

Yeah. The guy who vacated his title because he didn't want to fight Korobov is a real champ. Give me a break. Quillin, Jacobs, Lee, Saunders, Cotto and Canelo can fight all they want for their phony titles but until they get in the ring with Golovkin, they are world champions on paper only.
