Converted Stance Cons Outweigh Pros

I typically agree but I do think there're some exceptions and I think Oscar is definitely one. It's hard to imagine how he could have possibly had a better career had he fought as a southpaw. I think he made the best of himself by converting. -
the possibility of being lethal with 2 hands rather than only 1
These modern converted orthies are doing it right. They fight southpaw but still got dope rear hands
Converted lefties on average have very mediocre rightsComment

I don't think that was an option for Oscar. If he went southpaw, I think he'd be a step or two away from Vic Darchinyan where EVERYTHING he did was done to set up his straight left hand. You called him "awkward" and I agree with you, but I think we'd be thinking the same thing, and maybe even more, even if he fought from the left.Comment

so in your opinion Oscar lacked the ambidexterity to be a '2 handed fighter' regardless of stanceComment

That's it! In terms of fighting the best opposition that he fought, his best bet was to do what he did in relying so heavily on his left hand. If he were a southpaw I don't think we'd be talking about how great of a right jab Oscar had, I don't think he had it in him to have a solid game on the right out of any stance.
Oscar, at his level, I think is one of the very few guys who was the absolute best that they could be. I don't think there was a thing he could have done which would have made him much better. He fully maximized his talents and got the best out of himself.Comment
