Give the kid a chance to win his next fight first, public negotiation doesn't mean much.

Canelo has hardly went the way of a cherry picker.

You guys are too quick to bash someone for no reason.

Canelo and Golovkin are on a collision course. We just have to wait it out.

He will make your hero look silly as fack when he knocks him out and into retirement. Canelo is 1000 times more likely to fight GGG than Cotto. I can't wait for this fight and the end of Cotto, the pretend middleweight champion.

I kinda figured Oscar's "we're only going to make the best fights for the fans" schtick would end if Lemieux got whooped. I'm starting to lean towards wanting Cotto to win this fight. I don't like how either guy gets to set catchweights, but at least with Cotto you can justify it by saying he has the title. Canelo just can't make 154, yet is too scared to make the full jump to middleweight, which is what he'd HAVE to do if he wasn't a popular young star. I think Freddie Roach gives Cotto confidence, and if they can win this fight, they just might be bold enough to take on Golovkin.

"If golovkin comes down to 155, I will fight him any day he wants"

              Canelo Alvarez

It's pretty simple. Golovkin can drop down in weight and get the big fight he has been craving or fight Johnson and lee for his 2016 campaign.

If cotto wins, he will ask for a catch weight as well.

Either way ggg vs cotto or canelo will happen at a catchweight or not at all.

Golovkin can say **** em and Unify the division or lose weight and chase the money

Neither are likely to fight GGG. Thats why I hope Canelo comes into the weigh-in at 156.5 so he realizes that he truly is a middleweight.

I was one. I still think Canelo beats Cotto but Now it looks like Canelo, if he wins, is going to make GGG wait. Right now, I think he doesn't fight GGG if he wins. Maybe that will change in the future.

I'm one and I still think he will face GGG before Cotto does. Cotto is notoriously more picky about negotiations and opponent selection than Canelo is.

I can understand a CW for Cotto as he is truly a small man for the MW division. If it's not to fight GGG then I'd like to see Cotto just move back down to SWW.

Canelo on the other hand is bigger than GGG. Just because he kills himself to make 155 doesnt mean he's the smaller man.

... In case Canelo wins, he already said he would fight GGG at 155 -- which eventually might be doable... at 156, maybe...

... But in case Cotto wins, Cotto has no business whatsoever in fighting GGG even at, let's say, 154.1... Cotto is too small, way too small for Golovkin. That is why I think Cotto would vacate or try to call FMJr out (with GGG agreeing to get some serious step aside money).

                      ... Questions?
