With Pacquiao's prime gone and Hopkins sliding away, I can't name those two. So who is there to name? Possibly Golovkin. Possibly Bradley although he gets hit a lot when he tries to brawl...erm...Kovalev, who I rate very highly is not exceptional going back and Wlad, my p4p no.1 is far from a great inside fighter.

In terms of fighters with the ability to develop into "all terrain" types, I'll name three: TC, Danny Garcia and Saul Alvarez. An honourable mention to DeGale too. However, TC needs to up his work rate and improve his inside game, Garcia needs to improve boxing backwards and Alvarez needs better stamina and an improvement in ring IQ.

DeGale just needs better fitness and he needs to fight that mid range advantage that all the top fighters can pick naturally. He is very good in a close, combination barrage or fighting at long range but when the fight is mid range, he seems slightly lost. So there's definite potential.
even at his best manny wasn't all terrain. His infighting and clinch game is whack

Lol. Yeah I don't know where the hell Manny came from. He's a mid range fighter.

Manny was exceptional at countering on the inside...inside fighting isn't all holding and hitting on the break or hitting while holding the opponents arm. SMH.

Offensively the R.Garcia Maidana is very all terrain. Outside he has right hand bombs and those thudding wide left hooks..mid range he has his overhand right... inside he has uppercuts and the hammer of Thor punch he throws ..backwards he can pop the jab to get space as he recovers..in the center of the ring he has feints, the jab, and a good eye..on the ropes is exactly where he wants his opponents.

Defensively he is a bit more lacking. Though he showed defensive skills on the ropes against Karass..and he made Floyd miss a lot in their fights which is no small feat.

I put Marcos in as an all terrain guy.. his biggest weakness is going backwards but he was even able to overcome Broner putting him on the back foot when he got the second kd in their fight. A beautifully crafted body head combination.
