He has to make it favorable its a business, he needs Crawford to win to prolong name value. Crawford is highly marketable, after he showed personality in his post fight speech he won me over, I used to think he was just another Cotto giving robotic professional answers, he actually smiled in his post fight interview and gave some swagger. Also he is backed by Warren Buffet who has attended his fights in Omaha, when you have the richest man in the world as your backer and number one fan there is no way you can fail.

golovkin has no "swagger" whatsoever and hes on his way to the top.

Yea 140 seems ****ty for Manny. I suspect Roach throws out a catchweight for this fight. One of the things Roach has done great through Manny's career is picking the best catchweight for Manny vs particular guys. If Roach is cool with this fight happening at 140 that'd be sketchy.

Well either way you slice it, whatever weight its at, it benefits Crawford since he is a lot bigger than Manny.

Crawford moving up in weight helped his chin as well, he got rocked by Gamboa at 135 but he was killing himself to make that weight, at 140 dierry jean hit him back to back with flush overhand rights and he didnt even wobble.

A catchweight of 144 would benefit Crawford here since he walks around at 170 just like 144 helped Algieri because he didnt have to cut much weight since his last fight was at 140, the 15o catchweight also helped Margarito, Roach wanted the fight at 147 but Arum made it at 150 because Margo was having trouble to make the weight, WBC got involved and gave Pac and Margo the chance to fight for a vacant belt.(money grab from WBC).

Whether its at 140, 144, or 147 Crawford will be too much for Pac, catchweight has no negative implications for him here.

I don't believe Manny can make 140 comfortably.

Manny is a 140 fighter as he's never made the 147 limit, he's not a true welterweight. He had to eat a grip of food just to make weight for the Floyd fight.

as far as the weight, if manny is "too small" for 147 (as roach claims) then it should be at 140.
