Comments Thread For: Geale Tips Gennady Golovkin To Power Past Miguel Cotto

Former champion Daniel Geale is a common opponent for middleweight beltholders Gennady "GGG" Golovkin and Miguel Cotto.

Geale challenged Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) for the WBA/IBO middleweight titles last July and was knocked out in three rounds. The Australian fighter picked up a win over Jarrod Fletcher last December and then fought Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33KOs) for the WBC middleweight crown in June. Cotto put him away in four rounds. So let's look at the list, Delvin Rodriguez, who was a tune up for Cotto, later became a big marketing fight for Lara, who Lara clearly beat, but at times looked ordinary and couldnt knock Rodriguez out. Martinez who was favored by most including yourself, whent in to the Murray fight with injuries to his shoulder, rist, and knee, thought I scored the fight for Murray, he still struggled in a very close fight. Cotto walked over Martinez like he was Delvin. Geale considered at the time to be GGG's best or second best win, came in to the ring at 180 lbs, almost a 30 lbs weight advantage, Cotto knocked him out easy. All in all when all circumstances are considered, not just the negatives, the wins make sense.

Wait, so your saying all Cotto fights is bums. Lately he's been fighting same quality. And Canelo is scared as **** of GGG. LMAO!

He fought a one legged Lineal Champ, and then fought Geale.

Although, Cotto did less than GGG his first run on PPV. But I notice you didn't try to say Cotto would win. I hope you're not that blindly in love with Cotto.

If GGG/Cotto where to go down, they'd probably not sanction it, it'd be such a bloody mismatch.

To be honest, I don't think GGG wants to fight Cotto. He'd slaughter him like hitting a half alive fighter.

Well, it's too bad Cotto doesn't have much of a choice.

He either fights GGG or loses his belt and Lineal.

So whine all you want, but Cotto knows the deal.

And if he gets past Canelo, his best bet is to retire.

Now now, calm down. GGG won't kill Cotto, he'll just put him to sleep

That's if he gets past Canelo
