Next month in Las Vegas, WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto will defend his world title against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

The winner has been ordered, by the World Boxing Council, to make a mandatory defense against WBA/IBO/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, who is also the WBC's interim-champion.

I know the circumstances are a little different, but demanding a CW at 164, then complaining about a CW at 155, is not a good look!

That's exactly what I have been saying and thanks Abel for speaking my words through you......the 2 dummies are not middleweights and they have no right to the middleweight title if there not gonna honour that belt and defend it against 160 fighters.....get the hell out the middleweight division and let middleweights fight the middleweights.....come November the show is over for these pretenders as world title holders if they don't fight golovkin at 160 ...gonna be interesting seeing the ginger clunge actually kill himself to get down to 154 lol...war golovkin

That's true. Also, the title is a side show....this fight is about being the biggest (money) fight out there for both fighters and Cotto happens to have the title which ****es things up. Tell Abel to suck a mean one...I don't agree with the CW but at 155 Canelo whoops Golovkins ass. Gokovkib will be slow and considerably weaker...doesn't stand a chance at 155 and Team Golovkin knows that....meanwhile Canelo STILL stands a chance at 160.

He knows that he has no choice but to accept Canelo at a CW that's why he is complainting. Anyway, Canelo and Cotto are fighting at MW weight.

GGG is the C side LOL, He deserve a fight of the loser between Cotto and Canelo. Can't dictate the A side (which is the winner of the fight).

I agree with him on this. Tired of these dudes fighting for titles in divisions then crying about being picked on because other guys in the division want to fight them. If you are not a 160 pound fighter, then fight at JMW.

Same thing goes for any other division as well.

They didn't demand anything. They offered to split the difference in weight with a much larger opponent and meet in the middle I don't recall a title being on the line either. That offer was turned down by Ward. Just as Ward wanted to drag GGG up from 160 to 168, he now wants to drag weak 168 pounders up to 175 to fight him. Ward continuing his trend of bullying but some perceptive boxing fans still refusing to admit the truth of the matter even when it is staring them in the face.

They're gonna be so mad when they realize neither Cotto nor Canelo give two ****s about the belt after they face each other.
