Cool ****. Anyone know if he's had any amateur fights yet & how he's done if so? If there is any Oscar offspring who can box it'll probably be this one since he didn't get as much of that pampered lifestyle the other kids have probably gotten.
Btw anyone know how Fernando's son has been doing? Think he wants to pursue a pro career at some point, but last I heard had had 0 or only a few amateur bouts still.Comment

Yep. I found this article with Ben Thompson of FightHype interviews the mother of the child.
American Son: My Story is an autobiography about Oscar De La Hoya. It chronicles his rise to the top, the pitfalls of stardom and his
Article is from 2009 and says Devon is 10 years old at the time and has been waiting 8 years since he last saw Oscar.
Couldn't find anything recent.Comment

He never Denied the kid, he just never met him and refuses to have any relationship with the boy, he pays child support and thats it. Oscar fathered this boy with a married woman and all she wanted was for Oscar to be part of the boys life, I believe it was Richard Shaefer who advised OScar never to let that boy be part of his life because he said the mom will just take money from you. Richard Shaefer is one of biggest snakes in the game especially how he did Oscar with the haymon situation.
But the boy boxes just like his father, same style when you watch Oscar as a teen, its crazy how similar they move

Oscar has a son named Devon that is sixteen years old. Oscar has been working on developing Devon into a possible star in boxing and has been working alongside his former nemesis, now friend, “El Feroz” Fernando Vargas.
The two formal rivals began building a friendship late last year/early this year when De La Hoya invited Vargas to watch some fights. Shortly after, Golden Boy signed one of Vargas’ fighters, Cesar “The Great” Quiñonez, and they have been working together ever since. The combination of having Oscar and Fernando teaching young Devon will do him good as he will learn how to box and how to **** in the ring. For Oscar, should everything go well, he may have found a new calling aside from promotingComment
