So what are some of your thoughts on this topic? My answer would be yes because Andre Ward is an American and because of that the whole world would have been watching. I believe that it would have captivated a much broader audience.

It would probably sell a little bit more but it would lose massive amounts of money. Ward wouldn't take that fight for less than 5 million (if at all),in my opinion...and golovkin would get more because he is the clear A-side.

Of course it would. Anyone that says it wouldn't is still trying to run with the Ward isn't a draw excuse because they don't want Little G to lose.

That's more than Little G who couldn't crack 100k even with the P4P #1 on his undercard.

Lets not go crazy. The "Whole World"??? Idk about all that.

It definitely does better doe & most notability cuz it would be seen as a more competitive fight. Being that neither guy had a PPV history would still have been an issue. I think the PPV *******, past the early pioneer days of PPV years, record is 475k with Chavez vs Martinez so the ceiling is low for PPV noobs.

anyone know what golovkin and lemieux got paid? i imagine the shared purse for golovkin-ward would be much larger and therefore they'd have to aim at much higher numbers, probably double or more. ward would get $2m for rohan murdock, he's not going to fight golovkin on ppv for the same, and golovkin, being the a-side, is going to want at least parity as a matter of respect
