    You mean this rule?
    33. Qualified Challengers

    Champions shall defend their titles, either in a voluntary or mandatory defense, against a challenger (each, a “Qualified Challenger”) in one of the

    following categories:

    (a) any of the top ten (10) rated contenders; or

    (b) with the approval of or ratification by a majority of the Board of Governors,

    i. any boxer rated 11 to 15;

    ii. a champion or a highly-rated boxer of another weight division;

    iii. another WBC champion, such as a WBC Diamond or Silver Champion,

    iv. a former world champion or other elite challenger;

    v. a champion of another boxing organization recognized by the WBC; or

    (c) under special circumstances and with the approval of or ratification by two-third

    Champion Emeritus, or Champion in Recess;

    (2/3rd) of the Board of Governors, a contender not otherwise listed in one or more of the above categories.

    GGG fits the bolded. So looks like GGG was entitled to fight Floyd for a championship after all.

    So it seems like you don't follow boxing.

      Canelo is literally 1-2 years away from no longer being able to physically make that cut in weight and still have any energy for the fight.

      Depends on how he wants to do it. If the fight was made 3 months out, and he can loose 4 pounds from his normal weight, and only have to cut 10 pounds of water weight, which is close to what he normally does, then that is pretty realistic. Weigh in 154, fight night be 164-165, that is doable without being overly weak.

      Canelo is younger but also cutting more weight, 18 pounds for the trout fight. 14 pounds is not that extreme and he can probably get that to 10-12 pounds which is normal.

        That doesn't mention how ggg earned the fight.

        Those rules are for wbc champs

            Lol you can't switch it up.

            First you say how GGG isn't eligible for the 154 title now that I prove he is, you want to change it that he has to "earn" it?

            GGG's dominance in the 160 division has earned him the right to face other top fighter in/near his division, especially when he's a top 10 P4P fighter in most people's list. On top of that, GGG is eligible to fight for the 154 title.

            So you're statement that "What has GGG done to fight for a title in a division he's done nothing in" doesn't hold water.

              That's asking a lot from a 34-year old body, imo

                All it takes is some discipline.

                  Before the fight:
                  GGG knocks him out.Even at 154.
                  After:
                  He was drained.... running, hugging, Mayweather's IV injection

                    Those are rules for WBC champions. Meaning Floyd can choose opponents that are champs in another division if he wants. Last time I checked WBC-interim isn't a champion.

                    Also I'm not switching up anything:

                    I mentioned that he hasn't done anything at 154, which is true cuz he hasn't. You bring up a rule that is for WBC Champions (not interim champs unless you are gonna start counting those as titles). Meaning Floyd can fight if HE wants, not the other way around.

                    I just find it funny how ya GGGroupies argue to death about floyd and what not but when it comes to Ward *crickets*

                      G monster destroys Floyd. Easily too. G monster has a heavy, accurate and devastating jab. That alone will control Floyd's ability to do anything. That jab will probably land harder than the average fighter's right hand. Floyd gets utterly destroyed.

                      The funny thing is that every single Floyd fan who voted for Floyd would still turn right around and defend why Floyd didn't need to and won't fight the G monster and defend poor picks like Andre Berto.
