The fight has to happen or he loses the title. Not really arsed who he fights in the interim.
because they dont like deontay and added to that hes a pbc fighter.

Absolutely. I'd be extremely hard pressed to name anyone who's done more from starting boxing to where they are now in less fights than Wilder has.

But this is how things should be at the end of the day.

Having said that outside of Povetkin I'm not sure there is anything he necessarily needs to be doing that he isn't. He's able to fight the guys he's fighting, I assume their WBC ranked (rightly or wrongly). He's getting lined up to fight his mandatory, Povetkin, it would seem. As long as he fights Povetkin fair play to him.

He is a champion and he should fight guys ranked in the top 10 in the world. He is defending his title against guys who are so low ranked only boxrec ranks them. I have checked the ranking of the last two guys he fought and they were ranked about 33rd in the world. If he was not a champion I wouldn't care how lousy the guys he fought were. But he is a champion and he has a responsibility to give worthy challengers a chance to take his title. That's how he got a chance to win his title. His lack of experience doesn't change that. If he is too green to be a good champion then he should not have won the title so early. It's past time for him to fight legit contenders.

hes got a world title so fighting cans at this stage is inexcusable. he deserves all the criticism hes recieved. the first defense was somewhat excusable but that last defense was a joke and it appears hes going for another soft touch in his 3rd defense

His last two fights were a joke. He knocked out the one guy by hitting him in the back of the head.

i was with you til you said povetkins been carefully matched

he is the only hw with a resume in the same universe as wlads

thing is deontay is doing it backwards.. you dont pick up a title then fight nobodies in alabama... especially when some of those nobodies almost knock you out

he needs to do his work in the gym and take his title seriously, or hes going to end up losing to lesser opposition before he can cash in on that title

You want him to do the 3 fights in 2 years thing a lot of champs do? If he's gaining experience while they're setting up Povetkin in 2016, where's the harm in that? I already know the answer, it's that you guys hate him and want to see him defeated as soon as possible.
