You can box aggressively and still avoid punches.

Go watch some Duran or Toney highlights.

Duran/Hagler - 2 defensively responsible and technical boxers = classic
      Duran/Leonard - Classic
      Toney/Nunn - Classic
      McCallum/Toney - Classic
      Toney/Jirov - Classic
      McCallum/Curry

De La Hoya/Trinidad - 2 big punchers- flopped

      This thread makes no sense.

That's like saying basketball is "score and don't let them score"

        But really it's score more

I pray it doesn't become a reality in which it looks like it might happen. In any case it would destroy the sport built on full contact and give way to a sport so changed by the boxers themselves that in the end there will be only 5 fighters or so that people would be willing to pay to watch.... Destruction of the sport is what your hypothetical question would in essence create.

Basically this. The thing is, not all fighters can do it at the same level and with the same efficiency, and not all fighters care about taking punishment to give punishment on the same level.

Boxing is all about hitting without getting hit. the ones who are more successful at it are generally more successful.

Just like in basketball, the goal is to score and prevent the other team from scoring, but not all players are equal when it comes to TS%, some are better defenders, more physical than others, etc.
