Wilder is the clear #1 answer but you have to remember he only had 30 or so amateur fights so it makes sense that he's being brought up carefully.

The title kind of put a target on his back that he might not be ready for.

          Wilder and Stevenson

Wilder has over 30 fights and only faced one top ten opponent that's freaking horrible

Since Steveson became WBC champ his comp level has fell off a cliff while Kov is basically cleaning out the division without the lineal distinction.

Wilder by miles and miles. Although Ward is doing some WTF stuff right now as well.

Deontay Wilder is age 30 now, they need to stop pampering him. He's been boxing for 10 years, he's been a pro for 7 years now, he's not going to get any better. If he's not good enough now, he never will be.

Anthony Joshua had fewer amateur fights than Wilder and is 4 years younger at 26, yet he's been fighting MUCH better opposition in his first 14 fights. He's been a pro for just 2 years compared to Deontay's 7.

Joseph Parker too has been moved faster in his first 16. He's just 23 years old.

Fought old ass morales the first time was okay but, nobody asked for the second one. Nobody wanted the Herrera and saka fights, an old Zab juhdah ? And washed up Paulie ? Those are some ****ty choices ?

Garcia has fought faded opponents and poor Salka, it's time he took on a decent welterweight.

Leo Santa Cruz by far. He faced Mares but I wouldn't be surprised if he faces bums again despite the deep 122-126 stable Haymon has.

Garcia and Wilder are tied for 2nd.
