Canelo's most recent PPV fight was vs Lara, a very solid opponent (although unknown). That only pulled 350,000 PPV purchases.

Before that, was Angulo @ 400,000, and before that, Floyd @ 2.3 million.

That's not impressive considering the amount of exposure he has had. GGG has no exposure like Canelo does, and his opponent was considered a, "bum" (but Lara is not). Yet he still pulled half the amount of Canelo, almost. It's also not like he has a strong ethnic fanbase, too.

The thing to consider, is the hype of the fight. I think Canelo vs Golovkin would sell a lot of PPV purchases, because it's Canelo and he's fighting Golovkin (who your casual fan knows). There's not many other PPV choices Canelo has that could sell as well as that besides Cotto.

E=Lou Cipher;16160736]Hey be careful...only black people are allowed to be racists scumbags. Non blacks are not allowed to mention skin color in any way shape or form without being labeled a racist by the most racist people on earth. They walk around wearing gun holsters with Race Cards in them instead of guns.[/QUOTE]

Earth to Lou , earth to Lou . Racism by its very definition involves those who r in position to approve or deny funds , services , means ect to others . I think what your speaking of is prejudicial sh.t . But to address your point , you just sounded off with your silly views and no one has called u a racist yet . See , it works for u too , and I don't think your black , so r you retiring your holster with the race cards in them now ?

When Floyd fought Gatti..these FIomos weren't even Floyd fans yet..because he still hadn't gotten rid of the stigma of being exposed by Jose Luis Castillo... After Floyd beat Oscar FIomo fan boys started paying attention to PPV...

Pacquiao v. Marquez 3 sold more PPVs than Mayweather v. Marquez..

FIomos were silent about this when revenue split was being negotiated...

Triple G sold more PPVs in the U.S. than Roy Jones sold on the regular in his first PPV against a guy who is hardly known to the U.S. audience...
"exposed by jose luis castillo" LOL all it exposed is floyd's HEART and TALENT, fighting with a REAL injury vs the BEST at 135 when he wasn't even accustomed to the weight yet. As far as floyd vs marquez vs manny vs marquez 3, LOL pacquiao vs marquez THREE, let me say it AGAIN pac vs marquez THREE. EVERYONE knew marquez would NOT be competitive vs floyd but against manny they knew he beat him at least once already so they watched it

The promoter & media did all they could 2 inflate Lemeiux & show he had a chance, when he did not. Need a few of these pretenders 2 step up, listening Cotto/Alvarez, & no catch weights...

Of course the numbers will be a lot higher, it will be Canelo or Cotto bringing those numbers thou, not GGG! Dahhhh

I'm a huge racist... but Ali's biography was the first book I ever read cover to cover..and Ali was the first fighter I ever had admiration for...

                    Shiiiiit...

But I'm sure you're the same FIomo who ignored Floyd's constant disrespect to Ali...
Disrespect Ali HOW? by saying he's BETTER THAN HIM? Floyd is better than Ali in almost EVERY ASPECT OF BOXING.

Triple G is willing to fight anyone at 160... Should he move up and fight Ward...yes..eventually Triple G after cleaning out 160 should move up and fight the winner of Ward-Kova..

Ali fought everyone in their prime..

If you go by PPVs..that means nothing..Oscar was a top-selling PPV star not because he was the greatest... he was marketable...

Floyd is marketable... nice smile and good looking guy (pause) and great personality but played the villain very well... knew how to market himself and promote fights..he made people care about his fights..whether to see him lose or win..he made his fights feel important to people...

Triple G will never be able to do it that way... Triple G has to just go the Mike Tyson route and try to dominate his fights so badly that people just watch him for that..
Castillo LOST then LOST again "edged him out" LOL castillo got WHITE WASHED the next fight, and castillo is BETTER than ANY FIGHTER Golovkin has on his resume.
