Hell no. I'm not letting this slide. Golovkin groupies and hit team have been playing the numbers game for months now. Talking about how so and so isn't a big enough draw and how GGG is the next great PPV attraction. Now all of the sudden its "Come on guys, can't we all just get along and be boxing fans for once."? No sir. Dudes need to eat their crow and make better fights.Comment

oh give me a break with this childish racism excuse most people who are tired of the hype are whiteTypical lowlife scum racism talk.
Where did GGG flop?
Cotto first PPV 60k
Golovkin first PPV 150k
Sold out MSG (20600) tickets, and all forums and boxingsites are full of GGG praise, and you said he flopped?
If you DKSAB then why do you even post? Look for another hobby.. or watch your hero Ward how he bullies some undersized australian schoolkid.
I am still laughing about Ward.Comment

Whether it was 100k or 150k, I dont think anyone outside of GGG's team thought this would be a ppv hit. You have a Kazakh fighting an unknown Canadian for the first time on PPV.
I see people comparing it to Floyd's first ppv results. Lets not forget that Floyd's first ppv was against a very popular fighter in Arturo Gatti. I can still remember the promotion slogan for that fight. "Thunder vs Lightening. That fight did 350k buys. What GGG just did would have been the equivalent of Floyd facing a guy like Diego Chavez on his first ppv appearance. I can see that fight at that time doing similar numbers.
At the end of the day this was a fight that had no business being on PPV and hopefully they learned their lesson.
And just to clarify, this fight wasnt put on ppv because HBO thought it would be a big hit. It was a ppv bout in order to satisfy the purses of both parties involved.Last edited by Deevel916; 10-23-2015, 07:26 AM.Comment

So maybe GGG will reach Cotto prime PPV status by the time he's 42. Good luck.Comment
