i think the wording is something similar to "they gave him something they give horses to help him lose weight."

this was for the second leonard fight, IIRC. supposedly duran really let himself go after beating leonard, and had plenty to eat and drink before he tried to drop weight for the rematch.

you can't make this stuff up. you are not a boxing fan if you don't know that ray leonard lost to duran in their first fight. it's one of the most significant wins in the history of the sport.

It's like they're living in some alternate reality or something. How anyone could deny that Floyd ducked Khan several times is just bordering on insanity. The first time he ducked was one of the most public and undeniable ducks in the recorded history of boxing, perhaps only rivalled by Bradley ducking Khan - which he himself admitted he was doing in a radio interview.

I respect your opinion, but who has Floyd ever beat to make anyone think he beats Sugar Ray Leonard??? The Leonard that fought Hagler, Camacho, Lalonde, and Norris was an over the hill part time fighter. The Leonard that beat Benitez, Hearns, and Duran Ko's Floyd. I agree that Hearns would be the most dangerous for Floyd because of the reasons you stated. Floyd would have never even got in the ring with Hagler. That's an unrealistic fight if you truly know how good Hagler was. But Leonard was a very versatile fighter. If he couldn't outbox Floyd, he would become a pitbull and out fight him.

no way mayweather is elusive enough, or rather, elusiveness alone will not be enough to cope w/ the pressure of Duran. Maidana was able to do alot against Mayweather where as Duran would be in his face for the whole fight, unlike Maidana who faded in the middle & late rounds of a twelve round...imagine a 15th rnd fight where Floyd is not allowed the IV...
