Fat Dan does nothing but print what the promoter (usually Bob Arum) tells him. So, its not a surprise that Fat Dan says the fight sold over 150,000.

          Here is a link

The Gennady Golovkin-David Lemieux middleweight title unification fight on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York generated "just over" 150,000 pay-per-view buys.

Now if Cotto-Canelo does 97K, sound the alarms. With that said, I'm a diehard boxing fan, and I didn't even stream that PPV. I just didn't care, and by the numbers, barely anyone did. I didn't even stream Mayweather-Berto either, I made other plans that night. I barely have tolerance for mismatches of free TV, why would I pay $60 for one? I mean that is just the height of ******ity.

You know what sucks about this all?

If the fighters want to make good money, they'll come to the states simply because of the PPV potential.

Golovkin easily breaks his HBO ratings when off PPV in the states internationally (other boxers do as well, obviously).

It's too bad they can't make this kind of money over in those other countries.

Nope, I was honestly expecting friends to hit me up so we can split it, not even that happened. It wasn't even the quality of the fight, it's more to kick it with friends. Neighbors, old HS friends didn't care for it.

You guys do know Glaser is a NOBODY. He openly admitted to being a convicted felon who did time for turning back car meters. He was fired by Top Rank for ratting on them to the FBI a decade or so back when they got raided. Since then he's never worked for a major promoter again. Even Twitter took away his account for defamation. Now all he has is his facebook.
