Exactly. And the worst thing is a not-so insignificant amount of boxing fans supports this mentality.

Why the hell should GGG have to budge to make weight when he is in a mandatory position? GGG should only have to "bend over" to make 168lbs for a fight at super middlweight. Plus there'd be no "bending over", he'd just be moving up a weight division.

In your book a fighter with ZERO quality wins is great? Man you have low standards.

Hagler did have to wait for Leonard, but had lucrative/quality fights vs Duran, Hearns, Mugabi in the meantime.

GGG doesn't have to bend to no 155..Canelo if he beats Cotto has to fight GGG at 160 or vacate the belt..he will look bad if he vacate..specially we the fans knowing he walks at the same or higher weight than GGG...Canelo is all about image.. if he vacate his fans (specially Mexican )will eat him up...fact is Canelo not a 154 fighter no more. .Canelo can demand $..but not weight vs GGG...not this time.

Mugabi? This is how I know your intellect when it comes to boxing is low. Mugabi was the Lemule of his time. Just because he got knockout by ATG ( and some not) does make you a great.

Don't get me wrong he was a good fighter but how can you call him quality while discrediting Geale, Murray, and Lemule.

Did you watch his fights, did you here the commentary or anything. Mugabi feasted on less than stellar comp prior to fighting Haglar and building his record up.

And I never once said he was great but he's while on his way to bring great. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it untrue.

But the fight with Canelo will be made and it will not be at 155lbs. Canelo disagrees he loses his belts and GGG becomes undisputed.

Than after GGG defends his undisputed belts for however long, Canelo will have reality and know he'll have to face the best fighter of their era to get recognition.

He can't just fight at 155lbs for 3 years and still be considered great.

I assure you this is not the way most boxing fans feel...only the ones trying their best not to give ggg any credit endorse this nonsense.

GGG-will have to agree to either 155 for Cotto or Canelo or 168 for Ward

simple as that, you have to bend one way or another if you want the prize of BEING THE FACE OF BOXING..He can not have it all his way,now he has a great opportunity to become great, but he has to make a choice and stop saying what he won't do.

Tyson was a heavyweight and American

Oscar was a Gold medalist and American

GGG is going to have to do what he has to do to snatch the throne

Don't forget Hopkins agreed to a catchweight against Oscar too. You know what you make an interesting point. It doesn't make it right that the A-Side can dictate all those things but that's what it is. GGG has to realize this. GGG can agree and make them pay for their diva demands in the ring or just come in at 160 and dare them to cancel the fight even though he's at the limit.
