GGG is desperate for a name on his resume if he wants to be a PPV fighter.

Golovkin wasn't scared to fight feather-fisted Floyd at 154, but it seems that he is scared to fight the stud Canelo at 155.

Is Golovkin any good or what ?

He's not, he will stay at JMW.
No, remember that GGG was willing to cut down in weight to challenge Mayweather for his WBC 154lb title. So it made sense for him wanting to move down to lower a weight class and challenge Mayweather for more money and his belt.

On the other hand, Canelo is attempting to challenge GGG for his title at his own natural weight class of a 160lb. So there is no need for Golovkin to cut weight in order to challenge Alvarez because he is defending his own title.

Well that's Canelo's prerogative to vacate the title if he doesn't want to campaign at the Middleweight division so he has every right to move down to a weight class where he feels the most comfortable.

That sounds like a weak excuse.

Especially considering GGG's PPV flopped and he needs a name opponent.

The payday and name alone should be more than enough to attract GGG.

Surely if Golovkin can beat Canelo he would just do it ?

No he is not. Canelo stated that he has no interest in middleweight.

If he wins he will likely vacate, which is fine.

Bur surely Golovkin will do what he can to make that fight happen, SURELY ?

You have things the wrong way around my friend.

Canelo has no interest at middleweight, he will vacate.

Cotto will demand a catchweight from Golovkin.

Golovkin will have a choice, and he will be judged on that choice.

Currently Golovkin doesn't want to fight Ward or Lara, and if starts avoiding the little guys as well people will start to see whats up.

GGG may have to dare to be great, like PLENTY of other fighters have done.

Do you think that Golovkin can beat Canelo at 155/156 ?

        • GGG can beat Canelo at 155... If Canelo wins in November, he should vacate the title though. The fight won't be about Canelo's new title, it will just be a big fight.

If Cotto/Canelo delay the fight with their diva ways, then GGG should really just fight Lara (who seems to be avoided by everyone, including Floyd)... But, of course, he's with Haymon, so a hard fight to make.

Great to see a Golovkin fan supporting his guy, makes a nice change.

They have already passed on Lara.

I think that Lara will move to 160 soon anyway, he doesn't make 154 easily.

              Boxers that ducked/ducking GGG

1---Felix sturm - wouldn't fight him for over 2 years when GGG was mandatory.

2---Peter quillin - said he will only fight for the may-pac kind of money, lol

3---Sergio martinez - "His promoter said that "no way I am putting him with this monster"

4---Hassaan ndam njikam -When Hassaan was WBO champ, he was ordered to a purse bid to face Golovkin no less than two times and he was a no show each time.

5---Miguel cotto - didn't want to fight him despite being mandatory.

6---Julio cesar chavez jr - Turned down 12mil offer by TR

7---Saul alvarez - Thinks that he is fighting at the weight-class of 155, as there is no such thing as a "155 weight-class" ,he is pretending to be not in the MW division because of GGG.There are 17 divisions just pick one, if you can't make 154 then you are a MW, simple.

8---Carl froch - After calling GGG out then when GGG accepted ,he backed down and now he is retired after making all the fuss, GGG was calling him for more than a year so no excuses for "retiring".

9---Andrea Ward. The diva of the 168lb division don't want to travel or meet the a-side GGG in a catchweight so he can become a good boy and get ktfo. Was willing to goto 160 for Floyd but when GGG said 164, Ward ducked.+ he was fine when Dawson came down a whole division for him but wont move half a division for GGG, smh

10---Sebastian Sylvester - When Sylvester was IBF champ, he ducked GGG blatantly

11---Darren Barker - When Barker defeated Geale to become IBF champ, his promoter openly said that Barker will fight any1 except GGG

I have a list containing 4 fighters that Golovkin has/will duck.

ALL of those fighters are better than everyone on Golovkin's resume'.

Funnily enough, 3 of them are on your list

You wouldn't happen to be..... wrong..... by any chance ?

And including Froch on that scribble is a huuuuuuuuge reach.
