155 is just a starting point. At least he's coming to the table. They can always meet in the middle at 157. Like I said I don't agree with it, but its not like one of our opinions is going to change that. And Canelo is saying he'll fight GGG right now at a catch weight. If he beats Cotto, he should get at least one voluntary if GGG wants the fight at 160. He says in that interview 1 more year until he moves up to full 160 so Canelo vs GGG can happen September 2016. They need time to build it up and even Abel Sanchez says second half of 2016 would be ideal.

Well I'm sure Canelo would likely offer inbetween weight wise If GGG takes a hit on his percentage of a PPV fight, I don't want to hit on Canelo too much I like him he fights the guys people says he wont with Lara, Trout etc this one might be too much for him though.

Catchweights are for 2 fighters 1 weightclass apart in order to even the playing field for BOTH fighters.

Canelo and GGG are in the SAME weightclass. Not only are they in the same weight class, Canelo is the bigger man. So why would the bigger man want to starve/dehydrate himself for a CW rather than come in comfortably?

Canelo is 167.8lbs 30 days out for a fight at 155. He's killing himself to make this CW. WHY?

Try to at least push the fight. Call him out, etc. Shoot, if I'm K2 I'm getting him front row seats to the Canelo Cotto fight, make him wear something flashy so everyone can see him and have him go into the ring after and pull a Shane Mosley/Bernard Hopkins on Mayweather. This is the middleweight lineal crown that he's been chasing for a long time. Gotta go for it. If after all that, Canelo doesn't budge, get him stripped and then move on. That's what I would do. The WBC needs to regulate this quickly. Boxers shouldn't have significant titles in made up weight classes, it's ridiculous.
