You knew damn well GGG would have to bend over for this fight. I'm not surprised, just fight, I dont care about the belt. You talked the talk about making 154 and now you're being held to it. It's like Canelo said he'd go to 150 for Floyd and guess what. Watch what you say. The 100,000 PPV doesnt help either.

You can argue the same thing about Canelo. Canelo is bigger so he should have no problem fighting at the 160 weight limit of the belt, if he beats Cotto, he would have. I like Canelo, and was originally planning to root for him if he shall face GGG, but 155??? Come on make it atleast 157, but it should be 160. Very disappointed in Canelo. Part of me wants GGG to not budge on the weight and have Canelo stripped and then another part of me wants GGG to agree to 155 and KO Canelo for trying to pull that crap.

        I love this

GGG vs Ward....at 164 GGG fans: He the A-side do. He dictates. He is tiny. He can fight at 140

Canelo vs GGG....155. Wtf? Coward! Ducker!

Then you got a Danny fan claiming Canelo is camping....the same thing Danny has been doing for years until his body is "ready"

guys, just be consistent. These are all boxers trying to get advantages.

And when you can, you do. GGG will have to bend over to Canelo if he wants the fight. Or he can pretend to be the A-side and fight Tureano Johnson.

30 days out, GGG is 165 for a fight at 160
30 days out Canelo is 168.7 for a fight at 155

Maybe Canelo would have less trouble cutting the weight because he's used to it. How many times can he go to that well though before it catches up to him?

Canelo sitting around over Christmas waiting for a fight in May while GGG is back in the gym training for a fight in February.
Be careful what you wish for indeed.

Canelo isn't a bullsh&ter like Cotto. He will either fight GGG at 160 for the world middleweight title or he will vacate the title. What he will not do is pull a Cotto and try to hold on to the 160 pound title while defending it a catchweight below 160.

They were happy to give him a CW before he was about to fight Cotto for the MW belt. Unifying 3 MW belts and lineal at 155 is a travesty, right? Why would you cheer that on?

Gi Gi needs the Cotto Canelo winner. Bad! His ppv super fight with Lemiuex didn't meet expectations. He's got a resume full of cans. Made himself look soft when it came to Ward. Has said he could beat anyone from 154-168 now it's 160 only. **** outta here bro. Back your **** or continue beating up on bums and fringe contenders. Won't be the mega star everyone wants you to be going that route.

To my knowledge totally dominating then KO'ing both Martin Murray and Matthew Macklin, both of whom lost world title shots by split decision in Germany, isn't beating "bums and fringe contenders."

KO'ing Daniel Geale, a former IBF middleweight titleholder, certainly isn't beating up bums and fringe contenders.

A bit disappointed in Canelo. Hmm I think we'll have a catchweight but it might be a bit higher than 155. You'd think Canelo has all the cards but he will be stripped of the title if he demands 155 and GGG says no and the title, by default will go to GGG. So there is that. So both guys have some cards to play ... Canelo can make GGG a star ... GGG can take Canelo's belt.

                      imo we'll get a circa 157 catchweight.
