Khan was leading the fight before he got KOed. It's not the first time Khan has won a close fight against a though fighter so a second fight should be fairly competitive as long as it lasts.

No he wasn't. He was dropped twice in the 3rd before he was stopped in the 4th. And I could argue Danny won the 2nd.

Difference is Khan was winning the fight until he got caught. Pascal was losing this from by a wide margin.

Leading as in he looked in control, which he did.

He won the first round? Danny was already walking him down by the second. You guys make it sound like Khan was out classing Danny or something. I rewatched the fight about 4 months ago just for the hell of it. I suggest you do the same.

Khan won the first. I say Danny win the second, but for the sake of argument I'll give Khan the second. Danny dropped his twice in the third. Then stopped him in the fourth. How's Khan ahead by the end of the fight?

The obvious choice to do this was Kovalev vs Gonzalez in January/February then Kovalev vs a Mandatory as a stay busy fight while Pascal fights Ward in like June/July. Then Kovalev vs the winner of Pascal/Ward in October/November like HBO planned.
I like the idea of Ward/Pascal heading into the Kovalev fight..... good call !

Oh come on, let's be real, you think Ward would risk a fight against someone like Pascal?

i give him that respect, but it was still a brutal beating and i dont see much different happening in rematch.

whoever beats kov will have to be perfect for 12 rounds, that means not getting hit flush at all..as soon as he lands that first shot, its over

salute to pascal for wanting a rematch

Pascal and Bédard really makes a good pair, as if Duva clan would really like to measure Stevenson. Team Duva/Kova/Klimas merely waste time until Stevenson aging would makes him become a less-competitive/safer opponent. If Jean Pascal wouldn't have been the main choice for January, the riskiest Andre Ward would have had his turn thus another Mohammedi. Bédard only tries to provoke interest around the next Pascal fight by practicing the good old technique of using Adonis Stevenson's name, even if it doesn't exclude the fact that Kovalev does not wish to meet Angry Stevenson soon nor in 2016.
In fact, Duva/Kovalev's plan is to never fight Stevenson at all, while keeping pointing their fingers at him, to artificially keep Kove hype higher.

Back to Pascal, we must not forget that Jean Pascal and his mentor Greg Leon, sought not only have a clear agreement from Stevenson part. A ruse that would allow him to artificially enhance its financial value. This means that if there would have been a confirmation of Stevenson clan, according to his plan, Pascal could end up in a manager position with authority to bargain his own purse by confronting the two parts (Yvon Michel and Kathy Duva) to compete for the offering. Such scenario would have enabled Jean Pascal to choose to go towards the most lucrative of the two purses. Not bad for a former champion, a profiteer who have won only one significant fight in his entire career with a deliberate headbutt; defeated by Froch, Hopkins and by Kovalev.
You still believe your Cashcow when he repeats his political speech: (I am fighting for the love of the fans and the love of sport), this impostor loses against all division tops besides Yunieski Gonzales, but you guys are still unable to grasp his little game.
From nature he's a plotter, who loves money underneath everything. Using the naivety of the public as a growth income leverage for his personal wallet.

At least, the World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman reports that the WBC will continue to do whatever needs to be done to try to make Adonis Stevenson vs. Sergey Kovalev a reality for the unification of all championship belts in the light heavyweight division. Good job...
Mandatories will be announced the first week of November 2015. Hopefully, Kovalev won't show again how fake his nuts are, by being afraid to lose against Stevenson if his team rejects the 3rd WBC purse bid. But like I said, Duva/Kovalev's plan is to never fight Stevenson at all, while keeping pointing their fingers at him, to artificially keep Kove hype higher. I smell pu**y...

It only takes 1 clean left, ONE
