Give credits where credit is due. GGG is a MW, he earned plenty and more will come...

I do not think Gennady would be able to, but I want to put this out there to see if people would and if it happened that people would stay true to their word

A damn shame that a guy has to go up two weight classes to beat some one to be recognized, but this is the Internet culture where fake fans flourish.
Stop with the 2 weight classes nonsense, nobody said anything about GGG moving up to 175, if the fight was to be made it will be made at 168, and if he wins he becomes without a question the best P4P fighter in the world .

GGG has a chance to become the P4P best in 1 fight against an inactive guy who's probably having trouble making the weight, talk about having the bar set low, but since it will still be the best single win of the year, and since Ward is somehow still considered P4P top 3 by a lot of people, GGG deserves the number 1 spot if he wins. Yet still GGG and his camp want no part of it.

Yes, he'd get credit. When you go up in weight and beat the best guy, it's going to enhance your legacy. Maybe it will happen once GGG owns all the MW belts.

I'm under the assumption that Ward is no longer going to 168 and is floating a little north of that weight.

Has GGG ever turned down an offer to fight Quillin, Jacobs or Lee? I don't think so. It's the other way around. They don't want to fight him and he can't make them fight him if they don't want to fight him. GGG would beat the **** out of those boxers. He would be a 20 to 1 betting favorite just as he was against Lemieux. His stated goal is to get all the 160 pound belts and he is working on it. He can't fight Lee, Quillin, Cotto, Canelo and Jacobs on the same night. He will KO all middleweight belt holders who are willing to fight him one by one. He already is given credit for being the best middleweight in the world by most fans and all the organizations who rank fighters such as Ring, ESPN, Boxing Scene and Boxrec.

GGG is going to get the same treatment that Floyd got now that he's on top. No matter what he does, the detractors will just go one further to say he hasn't proven himself. If he beat Quillin, Jacobs AND Lee it'll still be Ward doe, Lara doe. If he beats Lara it'll be "so he beat a smaller man, so what? He's still afraid of WARD." Look, all Andre Ward would have to do is stay at 68 and win 1 or 2 fights against good opposition...that would entice, or, in your eyes...force team Golovkin to look to make that fight. But the offer they gave, with the two tune-up fights, and the 50/50 split...makes NO SENSE. Ward hasn't done anything in TWO YEARS.

I nor any knowledgeable boxing fan is going to give GGG credit for beating fighters that he hasn't even fought. If one thing is clear about boxing it is that anything can happen.

He already is given credit by most fans. The GGG haters all push for the Ward fight at Ward's weight of 168 to try to get GGG beat. Never mind that Ward is the best 168 pounder in the world and is moving to 175. If GGG beat Ward at 168 his haters would have no choice but to give him credit since Ward is the guy they dare him to fight. His vast number of fans already do give him credit.

I give him credit now. But I don't think he could beat Ward.
Maybe he can. I have been wrong before. But Ward has lots of tricks up his sleeve(figuratively speaking).

                    Interesting fight.

The ref selection will have a big impact on that one.

He has never asked Golovkin to fight at anything about 168lbs.
