In my eyes he's the real number one he did more in one year than chocolate did his whole career. Manny never ducked anyone and if he was 100% he would have given cloud a tough competitive even fight. It's ridiculous and hypocrisy to have Chocolatito ahead of manny in the p4p
Wha does manny pacquiao have to do to be considered p4p #1

It's a little late for that now. He is retiring after one more fight and unless that last fight is with Mayweather{impossible} and he wins there is nothing he can do to make the majority of fans put him at number 1 pfp. Most fans have him in the top 6 pfp and that will have to do. The competition for number 1 pound for pound is fierce with some excellent boxers in contention for it. Ward, Kovalev, GGG, Rigo and Gonzalez are all terrific fighters who have never lost a fight and that gives them the edge over Pacquiao in the pound for pound competition.Comment

Simple...go back in time. I don't really get this disconnect that modern fight fans have with the definition of pound for pound. It's a list created to access who is the most skilled fighter out of all weight classes. Records shouldn't really come into play, as that's what weight class rankings are there for. The only question to be asked regarding pound for pound is, How would this fighters skill set match up if he were any other size. Naturally, as Pacquiao gets older, people will perceive that certain aspects of his skill set will decline. In short, he's still great but can't go fight the same high level of competition that he did in 2009 and get the same results. His last KO was in 2009 against Cotto, so naturally we have to perceive that his power is fading. He got injured in the Mayweather fight, so we have to say that a lifetime of wars is catching up to him. Given those skill set declines, would anyone pick him to beat Naoya Inoue if in theory they were in the same weight class?Comment
