Who are these detractors he's *****ing about? I haven't read too many negative comments about Jacobs vs. Quillin. It's not a super fight, but it's a solid fight.Comment

NO way in hell Jacobs gets out of this one without having a snooze. He's packing glass man, and say what you like about Kid Donkey, he has power. There will be glass everywhere man. Quillin has far more power than Pirog.Comment

I don't think he has the best chin, but he's not packing glass man. Go back and watch the Pirog fight. Pirog caught him with a good shot that put him on the ground but he wasn't out, he just layed there for a sec to recover but he was coherent. Just look how he tried to jump up when the ref waived it off. He wouldn't have done that if he was hurt that bad.
Quillin on the other hand isn't that good. He does have power but not much skill behind that. It's weird cause it seems like he was coming along a couple years ago but then it seemed like he stopped developing as a fighter and kind of just started relying on his power. It's funny cause when I watch him I get the sense that he's trying to think in the ring, but it's just not working out for him.Comment

I think Jacobs is going to sleepyland, but then it could always be the other way round. Quillin has the power, and the skills to fight an 'average' title holder. What I'd really like to see is Mora/Jacobs 2. Jacobs' promoter needs to lay the law down with the guy. He isn't Floydie and doesn't get to call the shots.Comment

This is what I don't understand. Doesn't a fighter have to be signed to a promotional contract with the promoter who is promoting the bout? Is quillen or Jacobs signed to dibella promotions?Comment

No, a fighter does not have to be signed by that promoter. They can just have a fight by fight agreement. Similar to what Cotto had with Top Rank when he fought Martinez.Comment
