      lol @ 1:16 mark,

he had some good defensive sequences against whitaker but lets be honest he got schooled up and whitiker was toying with him defensively at times

I would say JCC has the better defense. It's like a Roberto Duran - Although perhaps not as good defense.

But GGG also has good defense, just not great.

            not that he needs it.

You're kidding right? You should rewatch that fight..

No one has really made GGG fight hard and go complete defensive mode, but GGG really showed more defense and caution vs Lemieux than anyone else.. and man was that too much for David.

Chavez has a good defense, but he's a different style of defense compared to GGG. Gennady's amateur background is jaw-dropping, you should watch some of his fights in the Olympics. He hasn't shown his defensive side much at all because he has so much power. It's not even needed for him, but like I said we saw a whole other side of him vs Lemieux.

Chavez wins the dodging, GGG wins the countering IMO

                  WTF
Title says Chavez SR and Poll say Chavez JR.
                  It s a trap!!!!

I'd say Chavez SR is miles ahead Golovkin in any section, he was a real bad mofo. Golovkin is good, but less entertaining.

I was a huge fan of Chavez Sr and caught up with many of his fights I hadn't seen before when I got on line.

It was the similarities I saw between Sr and GGG that first turned me on to Golovkin. This was before I knew that GGG had a Mexican trainer who was teaching him how to fight like Chavez.

Both can defend very well, but trust their chins to stand up to the test when going for their own punches, especially body shots.

                    Here's a great video highlighting GGG's under-rated defensive skills.
