Mexican style is fine. It doesn't hurt him in any way. Tyson was a hell of a puncher but he also was a thug, an ear biter and when things got too rough he was a quitter. The ref told him if he bit Holyfield again he would be DQed. Ten seconds later he bit Holyfield again knowing it would end the fight. When Douglas knocked him down he could have beat the count but he stayed down fumbling with his mouth piece. He could have gotten up when Lewis knocked him down but he chose to stay down. GGG doesn't need to call his style of fighting Tyson style. Mexican style does him proud and he does Mexican style proud.

GGG could be classified as a thug to for all the random people he used to beat up on the streets for no reason and hitting david while he was on a knee....but i agree with u in the sense that mexican style has seem to hit it off with him. he has a active fanbase in both the east and the westcoast

Beating up people on the street for no reason certainly qualifies as thuggish behavior but I don't think he is like that anymore and regrets he ever did it just as Tyson regrets some of the things he did. I think he hit David when he was down in the heat of battle and didn't fully realize he was down. It happens often. Still it was wrong and the ref should have docked him a point. As a rule GGG is a clean fighter but he fuced up just as Roy Jones, Abraham, Pacquiao and so many more have done. I really think it's more accidental from the heat of a fierce battle than intentional in most cases.
