Does he REALLY deserve to be higher than the likes of Ward, Rigo, Loma, Pacquiao, GGG, Kovalev, Wlad? How bout?

    Discuss.
He gets it over Ward for activity alone. You can't be the best if you don't show up. Ward can turn that around, but come on. Roman didn't take any breaks. He should get credit for that.

Rigo hasn't been that active either.

Loma has five fights. Great so far, but come on.

Pac is on the down slide and hasn't even signed on to fight since that horror in May.

GGG's great but he hasn't fought the same level of opposition.

Kovalev is close but Roman has done more in his career so far.

Wlad is hard to argue with. The guy has been champion for almost ten years. He has beaten everybody they have thrown up there. Maybe Gonzalez gets an edge from his competition being tougher. But it's real close. If Wlad mows Fury down, I'd say he could be number one.

And of course, last Saturday proved once again, how great Gonzalez is. His combinations and timing and footwork are incredible. Viloria is no pushover but Roman made him look like nothing. Gonzalez is the read deal all the way around and unlike many claimers, he stays active! (And thank you to GGG to staying active as well)

Koval doesn't have all the skills that Chocolatito has. Roman can fight out of a boxers form & style when Koval starts to fight he is vunerable because he leaves the boxers form and doesn't put the combos together and moves off them to maintain some defense. He is getting better but Roman does it as part of his style. He is simply the most complete boxer/puncher right now. Those are the two ingrediants that contribute to an exciting ring presense.
GGG is again simular and a bit better than Koval but not at the level of Roman. Rigo is fantastic but he prefers to keep his offense on the backside of his defense simular to the way Floyd fought his fights the last years.

p4p means ...............taking your present skills and applying them against all comers. So does Roman at 6'3" 225 bring his abilities in against the current heavyweight (Wlad) and be successful?
Does Wlad at 5'3" 112lbs bring his abilities to Roman and be successful?
Thats what ppv means. Transferring your talents to all the other weight classes, nothing to do with your record, or belt titles or the size of your sisters azz! ppv means the BEST at ANY weight class, period!

      Roman
      Rigo
      GGG
Lomo ==but he needs fights, he has talent but experience is a huge key.
Koval==still needs to become more calculating, and add defense in with his offense.

I think theres young men coming who have the basics to become terrific fighters as long as their defense & offense are equal and their methods & techniques are an intrical part of their form & style and success.

If Ward deserves to be number two, then Gonzalez deserves to be number 1 with a rocket and there should be 100 decimal points between 1 and 2!
