No that is walking backwards planting and countering as Hatton came in. Hatton wasn't even attacking as Froid was backing up.

Most people don't realize Many punchers have been troubled with double and triple jabs....The puncher cant get set and has to reset often
Absolutely both guys had a significant size disadvantage in terms of height and reach to trouble Golovkin from afar and so their only option was to throw when GGG moves in.
True. I want those fights simply because their styles will test GGG in different ways. Andy Lee in particular because he has decent movement, taller and has a longer reach. If Lee could constantly pump a jab it will it be interesting to see how GGG deals with it

then why was he moving forward, dipping to his left to to throw a punch??? He got clipped before he could land or see the incoming shot

        He was attacking bruh smh

          It's nonsense.

Good luck pushing Golovkin backwards. His power, jab and general style isn't one that lends itself to being pushed back.

Those are the fights I want to see.....GGG vs Lee and Quillin....neither guy are featherfisted liked Monroe or Geale and they don't just come forward like Stevens and Lemieux.....they are a lil more versatile in their approach and skillset

Lee is a good counterpuncher and surprisingly good inside for a lengthy fella

Quillen reminds me of Jermain Taylor but he isn't quite as fast as Taylor but he is more powerful....He'd be a good opponent for GGG

That counter right hook from Andy is a thing of beauty and I doubt any middleweight is gonna "let" Lee land it

Curtis Stevens throttled GGG half way through the ring with a counter offensive from the ropes, and as others stated, Stevens is short.

The immovable object always faces his irresistible force.....its boxing...no fighter is invincible and will face someone who makes them adjust

Happened with Tyson, Frazier, Gerald McClellan, Julian Jackson, etc.

He hasn't faced anyone who has the proper balance of skill, talent and will...either they are known or good at one thing.....He hasn't faced a lot of well rounded guys yet

When he does its gonna be great for the sport

This again? He just made lemieux's shots fall short for the most part while hitting lemieux at will with the jab.

Does fighting backwards have be like full on running mode like what lara does?

Yeah but it is only one problem, how in the hell are you going to get him to go backwards?

Because he won't backup I do think the best way to beat him is with a good inside game, something that was working well for Monroe when he stopped backing up and got inside with GGG

People want GGG to be considered a Brawler so bad but he is NOT anything close to a Brawler, he is a Boxer/Puncher. His Footwork is extremely underrated, just because he is not skipping and doing the fancy Ali stuff doesn't make him "Flat Footed". He has quick feet and he keeps them in position to get off with Power quickly.

Also I think even Lemieux was talking about how "Slow" GGG was leading up to that fight. But GGG looked faster and more athletic than Lemieux which I don't think many people thought would be the case. That jab, was very quick and he was able to land it on Lemieux anytime he wanted.

Oscar thing he has the blue print for GGG also? Well Oscar needs to understand that these new generation of fighters are not as good or as talented or as skilled as he was!

I thought he said that Him and B-Hop gave Lemieux tips, well nobody told him to not just eat jabs all night
