More a situation of Haymon/PBC and Duva/HBO finding ways to avoid it.

Both Stevenson and Kovalev want it. The WBC wants it. The fans want it.

They should be able to negotiate instead of Haymon forcing it into a purse bid. Haymon refuses to negotiate with Duva's team and make it seem like Kova and Duva are running when they simply want a fair negotiations instead of a purse bid.

They will all get paid good regardless of what happens, it just should be done at the table not with who has the biggest check to buy the promotion rights.
This sums the situation up perfectly. Purse bids are not the best way to get the best deal for the fighters. They only usually happen if negotiations break down.

There have been no negotiations for this fight, because GYM/Haymon have so far refused to negotiate with Duva.

If Haymon and Duva cooperate, pool their resources and co-promote the fight, how could the fighters possibly end up making less money than if Haymon promoted it on his own?

IMO - I don't think Stevenson wants it. If he did, then they would have fought already and Kov would be the Undisputed Champion by now.

            what would you prefer

            Kov/Ward or Kov/Adonis?

theres more history with kov and adonis, this twitter beef needs to get settled in the ring.

Main Events are the ones that pulled out of the purse bid after asking the WBC to make Kovolev, The #1 contender to Stevenson.

                  This is getting interesting

                  kovalev is getting big fights.

Damn those old U.S.S.R. Nations about to dominate the top divisions. They just need to get busy from Jr.Mw on down.

I think we have a similar may/pac situation brewing here.. Haymon is going to keep Stevenson away from kovalev like he did with Mayweather.. until it's past it's time..
