Now he has to get the rust off n reestablish himself

I favor him over everyone 160-175

Kov got the best shot at beating ward...very intriguing match up
if he's so rusty that he needs to fight paul smith, rohan murdock and azea augustuma, then how is he currently the best fighter in the world? if he was good enough to beat kovalev right now then he'd be fighting him right now, innit?

      Rohan Murdock

      - age 23
      - super middleweight, but he'll need to move up to 175 for the fight
      - has never even fought a decent journeyman opponent
      - has never fought outside Australia
      - rather slow-footed
      - looks VERY limited and inexperienced
      - throws 1 punch at a time and lacks handspeed
      - you can see him on YouTube

This will be a very easy win for Ward. But is it honorable to put an inexperienced kid like Murdock in with him, or should they have chosen a tougher opponent?
Its not a good thing, putting smaller inexperienced fighters in with top guys just to make the top guys look good can be dangerous and even get somebody killed. If Ward is not ready for top guys again yet at least find a durable and proven journeyman.

yeah hopefully it doesn't turn out like garcia-salka and quillin-zefara. those fights were totally unnecessary and potentially dangerous

        • I have to know the details behind the choice of this opponent. We all know its very rough to get a good named opponent on such short notice but damn this tough to even try to sell to the fans of boxing as being OK.

no....once again....he has to reestablish himself from being inactive....common sense bro

When fighters have long lay offs they have tune ups....duh

This isn't the most complex thing in the world ya know

if he needs a tune-up, then obviously it's because he's not at his best. we will only know whether he is back at his best when he fights a proper opponent. understand?

Then tune up on those Cuban prospects that HBO wanted him to fight. This is a joke, and the guy is a SMW novice going up in weight

                • If hes a SMW contender not sure what problem is. I read about the 3 fight deal ENDING with a possible Kov fight but dont see where this fight will be at LHW.

                  Some one have that info?

He's certainly not a contender duh. You mean for Aussie regional belt? And it looks like Ward is dragging him up in weight
