some of you guys really don't know much about boxing. Its not often people fight a high profile fight after a long lay off and when they have they usually lose because they haven't got their footing back

    Have some common sense
So you're saying hes basically inactive for three years, but you have no problems with people saying hes pfp number 1. get all the way the **** outta here.

You just a racist, my slick brutha Andre Ward beat Carl Froch and Kessler back then what did Poochiao do?
he lost to my man Floyd money, prettyboy Mayweather, imo Andre Ward is the second coming on Joe Louis he'd beat Wladimir Klitschko and everyone else he the truth.

I just he and Kovalev are on a collision course as planned since. Kudos to Kovalev for not making countless excuses like that 33 year old that has that Yellow Cab employee roster on his resume.

I dont get it either. According to his fanboys (not fans but fanboys), he's pfp#1 based on what he did 4yrs ago yet needs tuneup after tuneup to fight Kovalev at LHW yet he's being ducked by a MW.

Does little Ward need constant tune-ups to fight GGG?

IMO skillwise he is the best in the world

Now he has to get the rust off n reestablish himself

I favor him over everyone 160-175

Kov got the best shot at beating ward...very intriguing match up

Never heard of the guy. Its better than not fighting at all though, so being active is a good thing, he just needs to follow it up with another fight, hopefully a more significant one.

That's not how it works though. You actually have to get in the ring and use those skills to beat other top guys in your division. Yes he won the super 6 and it gave him bragging rights but that was 4yrs ago.

Ward very well may be the best pfp, he'd have to prove it against better competition than just the tuneups he's been facing. Fighting a #30 ranked Aussie journeyman from a weight class beneath you is not how you prove your standing in the sport. Its not even a respectable opponent for a tuneup.

He'll have a big fight once he gets back fighting routinely
